Players need to play against the best consistently in order to improve.
Playing against someone more experienced than you doesn't mean much if you're on their "level" - witness our collection of 2nd tier or below players across the roster.
Going up against the best of the best every night will make you improve - and rookies that get drafted to a Western Conference team experience that with or without playing time...
Next thing you know and its 20+ years of Western Conference dominance
