 I can't root against Bam. But yeah, we have a thread to explain how you have no faith in SVG et. al. righting this ship. Be it Bam or Mitchell, the draft is over. So far: Ellenson is playing stronger and more under control. Kennard is displaying a heady, versatile game.

Aside from better shooting, the Pistons needed better ball movement. Results to this point are somewhat encouraging. Of course, it's only Summer League...

Huge red flag for Ellenson put some athleticism against him and he looks terrible on both ends.

I think Kennard has played great defense in the summer league so far, every time I think his man is going to blow by him he ends up staying in front and forcing a tough shot and then hes had a couple of real nice steals.

Kennard has for sure looked better than I thought he was. People really knocked his athleticism but he appears to not be just another shooter who can't move and stay in front of his opponent. His has surprising quickness.

Cut him and sign him to one of those 2-way deals. He ain't worth 1.3M he's due if we pick up his option by the 15th.

This years summer league games suck. It's literally just Lorenzo Brown and Pierre Jackon chucking up shots lol

Maybe. He's guaranteed $500,000 so the team only saves a bit over $800,000 by cutting him. That's just not quite enough to fit in an undrafted rookie on a minimum deal, so the money is a bit of a concern here given Detroit's hard cap/luxury tax situation. But not a huge one if an undrafted rookie is the way they would go otherwise.

Man not sure Ellenson can ever start at 4 with his defense.
