I didn't get a good chance to watch him play, but this offseason he got jacked asf (hopefully no PED's or anything). Maybe we could trade for him.....

Something along the lines of Randle for Stanley Johnson + assets?

I want no parts of him, he's got plenty of talent but he got jacked because it's a contract year. I have seen him since he is a rookie, I don't think his head is in the right place and I don't think he's going to reach what he could really be till later on in his career, probably after this next contract he signs is up for resigning.

I'm right there with you on Randle. His mental toughness was a question in college.

Derrick Favors.

Jackson, Bradley, Johnson, Favors, Drummond. + Harris

Nice team in the East.

I don't think we have the assets to land favors without giving up a Harris or a Johnson. plus they would want a first-round pick, this is a draft where you want your pick, its deeper than the last one.

Why do some people keep clamoring for a favors-Drummond front court??

Right, let's forget the fact that Favors actually plays defense :-?

Plus when hack a Dre comes a front court of Favors Tobias SJ looks pretty nice. Year before last when he was healthy he averaged 32minutes 16.4pts 8.1rbs 1.5blocks 1.2 steals with 70%ft. He's only 25. Sign me up to get him! Plus he's in last year of contract

I like favors as a player, but he is just about the worst compliment to Dre I can think of on offense.

they're pretty much the same player both has little to no jumpshot, solid in the post, not great defenders, can get rebounds, favors is more athletic and has more ups then monroe but thats about it.

ruby gobert plays defense favors is not that good of a defender.

Dre - Jon
? - Henry
Harris - SJ
AB - Luke
RJ - Ish

IF that's the plan AFTER next season I'd like to have a 4/5 that can draw his man out of the paint and read a defense quickly so he can make the pass

The best offensive comparison would be Draymond, Odom or Diaw

SJ still has that kind of potential and maybe that's the plan?

Dre
Harris
SJ
AB
RJ

SJ plays the 4 spot offensively in a Spurs-lite (GSW-lite) system where ball movement and player movement is paramount

Like my dream of a Mitchell, KCP, SJ perimeter defense it might never happen though

the guy we need is still Serge Ibaka. I hope for a terrible start from the Raptors and for them to want to start selling off assets. trade Boban, Leuer and a first for Ibaka and this team becomes a top 3 team in the east and is knocking on the door eastern conference finals for the next 4-5 years.

If we had a time machine, Ibaka would be great. He's now wen 6 years in a row where his block totals are just in freefall and his defense just isn't what it used to be. A 4 who controlled the paint and D and could hit jumpers on offense would be perfect next to dre though.

Is Ibaka like Sheed on D where he calls out everything though?

Because Dre struggles to read the opponent's offense I'd like to have a 4 who's BBIQ is through the roof and can captain our D.

I think those guys are severely underrated...

AB, SJ & this mystery guy would give us a great foundation on D.

in those last six years he's been on three different teams and dealt with injury, with plus when he was OKC he had to split time with Kanter. I think he still has it, if he can get right physically, and he was looking better in the playoffs before their exit imo. outside of him, I don't see that mystery guy in the league that brings all of it to the table, he might be in the draft, time will tell.

Tobias Harris is prefect, we don't need a PF, we need a SF!

That SF would need to be able to defend 3s, 4s & small ball 5s

Captain the D

Make plays on the perimeter

Hit from 3

Not a lot of SFs (none?) can do all the above

Tobias is a pretty solid fit on offense. He's a really well rounded player on that end and can do basically anything a team asks of him. On defense? He's not horrible or anything, but he's not going to lock his own man down and he isn't going to challenge guys at the rim.

my thing is shot blocking, that was my biggest knock on Baynes. the only shot blockers we have is Dre and Moreland and moreland isnt going to get that much burn. we need a 4/5 that can block shots and stretch the floor. you add that and this team becomes a force without giving up out the core (Reggie, Bradley, Stanley, Harris, Dre, Ellenson, Kernard, ish), that team would be one of the best in the east with a lot of years ahead of them.
