Just noticed our courts say Platinum Equity...kinda odd to put the owners name on the court.

MKG hasn't played exhibition games and might miss the opener due to some family issue

Wish we were opening the arena up against a team that's somewhat interesting.

No knock on Walker, or even Monk. But, Charlotte just bore me.

They are a solid team, Kinda feel like they're coach doesn't get enough credit. They always have or are around top 10 in both defense and offense. They are down Batum though right now.

Ish has earned the starting spot over Reggie.

Keith Langlois wrote an article about how Bradley and and Drummond are guaranteed to start (according to SVG), Tobias will likely start but said PG and the other forward spots haven't been decided yet.

The reasoning was that ish plays well with whoever but for Reggie to be most effective in the pick and roll he needs a lot of spacing and most of the better shooters on the team are bench players (tolliver, Galloway, bullock, kennard, etc).

In that scenario leuer is almost the odd man out of the rotation because tolliver and ellenson are better shooters .

Leuer has no place in the rotation imo, he isn't better than tolliver or even henry and he should never get minutes at center.

I would be livid if RJ didn't start. It's not like Smith lit the world on fire or anything either. RJ should be given at least a month to shake the rust off and see if he gets back to form. If he doesn't then fine, go ahead and bench him. Like it or not but RJ is still the key to our season. If he sucks then we suck so SVG should be absolutely certain that RJ is done before benching him. Doing so now would be very premature.

With Batum out this should be a win, but can't sleep on the Hornets as they are well coached and play hard.

I expect the starting lineup will be RJ/AB/Harris/Leuer/Dre. I'd prefer to see SJ and Harris at the 4, but something tells me SVG won't pull the trigger on that lineup to start the season. Hope I'm wrong.

If i am SVG, your treating RJ like SJ. You can start, but if you don't want to get subbed out, this is what we need from you. The message to RJ has to be, "what we have seen and even when you took us to the playoffs, is not good enough". No more excuses, ball out or sit the f* down

I agree but I think SVG should give RJ at least 1 month to prove that he can indeed do what needs to be done in the starting lineup. Anything short of that is premature imo, especially before the season even starts.

RJ likely gets the start if he’s healthy. He’ll get plenty of opportunity. I’m with the guys saying it’ll take a little while to judge how this team works chemistry wise. A fair number of changes from last season.

I think Tolliver will get the start. He won't play big minutes. But he's a leader. And shoots the 3 very well. And hustles. Dre Tolliver Tobias AB RJ.
Never know. He could have Tobias come off the bench too and throw SJ in at SF for his defense. Tobias for 6th man of the year ;)

I disagree but in reality neither of us knows "how long it should take". I do agree that we really have no choice, as if RJ isn't the answer, we really don't have one. So might as well figure it out.

It should never be based on who deserves it based on talent, but what lineups give us the best chance of winning.

What it should be:

Ish
AB
Stanley
Harris
Drummond

Reggie
Kennard
Bullock (once his suspension is served)
Tolliver
Leuer/Henry

You have to have the right balance of spacing, and defense.

Reggie loves to play hero ball, and I say let him do it. Just have him do it from the bench, and aim for the 6th man award.
