Game 5: Pistons (2-2) vs. Timberwolves (2-2) - 7 PM EST

Post#1 » by whitehops » Wed Oct 25, 2017 1:49 am

would be nice to get a win here because we have a tough little west coast trip coming up.

projected starters

Reggie Jackson
Avery Bradley
Stanley Johnson
Tobias Harris
Andre Drummond

Jeff Teague
Shabazz Muhammad (Jimmy Butler is ill)
Andrew Wiggins
Taj Gibson
Karl-Anthony Towns

it's going to be interesting to see who bradley guards because he gives up a ton of size to both butler and wiggins. also, as has been pointed out it's a back to back for minny so advantage detroit.

go pistons!

It`s a back to back game to Minny if I`m not mistaken.

You’re not. They’re down like 20 to Indy. So expect them to come out strong against the Pistons tomorrow lol

Wow gave up 130 to the Pacers... Maybe the Twolves are still figuring things out. I think they will be a darkhorse contender when Wiggins and Towns get a little more experience. Let's hope we can get a win against them because we have a back to back at LAC and at GSW after that so we really need this. Uhh those WAS and PHI games would be looking REALLY good as wins right now...

Feels like a loss but what do I know. We haven't lost two in a row all season :)

Butler was out but they shouldnt have lost to the Pacers regardless

Wolves will be hungry, Pistons will be complacent

Id take the Wolves despite the back to back

Hopefully LCA will be more than half full

Maybe today will be the day we actually get some production out of our starting small forward. 5 pts per game on 25% shooting aint going to cut it...

I am ok with SJ in the starting lineup but his minutes need to go down for sure. You can start him and play him 20 MPG and let him bring his energy against opposing starters and then bring scoring off the bench. Stanley should be the first guy go to the bench in the 1st and 3rd quarters about 6 minutes in to each quarter to bring in some scoring. Also he should only start when there isn't a super talented 3 or 4 that has a height advantage because Tobias can't guard those guys Stanley also struggles.

When we play Porzingas, Love, Durant, Greek Freak, Anthony Davis, etc we need to move Tobias to SF to start the game and go bigger perhaps with Tolliver at the PF spot.

SJ is also dealing with back spasms so I'm sure he doesn't feel 100%. If I'm not mistaken he barely played in the second half last game.

you know SVG hasn't the mental flexibility to change his lineup based on matchups.

#tollivereffect Time to have SJ come off the bench and start Tolliver. He hustles. He brings defence. He fires ups 3's. He's our main leader

No Butler could be a big break for us. I have no confidence in this team to show up every night consistently though. Towns is going to annihilate Drummond. I want to see Moreland today just for defensive purposes.
