2K "like" trade

Post#1 » by DET_Athletics » Thu Oct 26, 2017 3:56 am

I'm going to start off by saying it's a stretch, and that SVG would never mortgage the future like this and half of you might disagree, but: ish Smith, Leuer, Boban, 3 first round picks for Corey Joseph, Myles Turner, Al Jefferson. Reason why we do it: give us the stretch PF/C we so desperately need for this system to thrive,(shot blocking, run the floor, and great shooting touch). A reliable back point guard that can guard most ones and hit an outside shot. Al Jeff, is just a filler. Why pacers do it, even tho they give up two younger pieces, they get 3 picks and two decent pieces for there full rebuild.
Starting lineup: Same
Reggie
Bradley
Stanley
Harris
Dre

Bench:
Joseph
Galloway
Luke
Henry
Turner

Only hang up I see is pacers saying no because they are in love with Turner.

I've wanted Myles Turner since the draft but if there's a way to get him he is a starter.

Pacers won't trade him. He's their building block

I hate new trade idea threads. So many things wrong with this idea:

1. You have no authority in the front office.
2. 3 first round picks? Have you seen what happened to the nets? Lol you'd destroy half a decade.
3. Turner isn't getting traded anytime soon. He's very good for the pacers.
4. Al Jefferson is greg Monroe
5. You're giving up that many first picks for bench players? We're already deep. It's our center that sucks.
6. On top of all of this you want to give up a young player on a good contract (smith)
7. Did I mention 3 first round picks?

First and foremost this is nothing like the nets trade, all of those players were over the hill and there careers were over. Second trading smith, whonis a good slightly young player for Joseph is a good trade because Joseph can constantly defend. And yes three first round draft picks because we already have 3 really good player still on rookie deals, and two of them it's hard for them to get meaningful minutes. This trade opens up minutes for everyone. Plus do you think if we add any more rookies over the next three years that they are going to crack the rotation let alone the starting lineup? Probably not. And yes it's a lot of picks, we would be getting young all-star in the making back, and keeping all the pieces that matter to us.
