Small sample size, and the contenders in the west aren't really taking the season seriously yet. Kerr has said as much, several times. Spurs are without Kawhi, etc.

We will see... Cleveland is not in good shape... So injuries are in Boston and Miami too...

HCA is there if we want it this year. Cleveland is going to struggle throughout the year with that roster and defense. Playoffs is a different animal for them though.

We'll see how it shakes out, but the West doesn't seem to have the same quality at the top as it has in recent years. The clippers and jazz took steps back. OKC was supposed to step into the void, but it hasn't happened yet. The wolves have a ton of young talent, but the key word there is young. The spurs obvious aren't at full strength, but that team is really, really old.

Obviously, the warriors and rockets are going to be great, but I don't think it's like in some recent years where the top 5 team in the west might have been the top 5 teams in the league.

Yup. Tip Top may be out west, but the tide is turning sharply. Lots of young talent spread around the league lets see how it shakes out.

There are a bunch of teams out west a lot of people still hold in high regard that are declining quickly, or will decline real soon.

Clippers are NOT a powerhouse anymore. Dallas is toast, OKC has a ton to prove before they mean squat to me, Grizz are again solid but age is creeping up on their best player, and yes, the Spurs. Duncan is gone. Aldridge has been whiny, and Leanard while awesome doesn't make that team unbeatable never mind 400yo Ginobli and crusty Parker.

I'm just not that impressed with the west nearly as much as I have been in the past(last 5-6 years)

In the end lets see how everything shakes out by game 40 though.

Who was the poster that said he was leaving us in the Philly GT I believe? Said he was supporting the Cavs instead now. Wonder how that's been going for him, LMAO

West just have some contenders up top but going down much the list I don't see the better teams that are so much better then any of the top 8 East teams.
Really GS, Houston and maybe SA are making it seem so much further ahead. Everyone else is basically in that Milwaukee, Charlotte, Washington Philly, Magic tier.
