the hawks are 2-9 but shouldn't be taken lightly, they almost beat the celtics on monday and have been resting for three days.

go pistons!

These are the kind of games that are the 'must win' types. The Hawks are terrible, and for all intents, tanking.

Harris and Drummond should feast on Babbit and Dedmon. If Bradley shuts down one of Shroeder or Bazemore we should win easily.

Dedmon should be a guy we look to trade for - Hawks also have Plumlee and Muscala - the former of which probably for Leuer(both have two years and similar money owed). Other two match Boban's salary and contract length.

Why would Atlanta want Jon? They drafted Collins and he's doing alright.

They will probably take a 2nd come deadline time if they are real bad which they will be. Problem is we need expiring contracts. Boban and a 2nd would be about the best we could do.

Yes another must win

We need to pad our record with as many wins against trash teams as possible

ESPN usually sucks, but this was a good read about Drummond's resurgence. I said it in the last game thread, abandoning the myriad of useless Drummond post-ups has helped completely turn this offense and Drummond around. Nothing wrong with being a screen setting, lob catching, garbage man. Hopefully it continues.

here's a visual:

you can see why they're so effective. most of them turn into a pseduo-pick and roll with reggie, avery or tobias on the move but there's also a lot more options like backdoor cuts, andre can turn around and completely flip the play and stuff like keeps the defense off balance.

Last year, those were all Drummond post ups that resulted in a brick and Drummond pouting all game. So many wasted possessions last year compared to this year

it was a common option in one of the double elbow screen plays last year, the 1 would come from the corner around a screen set by the 4 and dre, the 4 would pop to the three point line and dre would dive where he fought for post up position. if the ball was swung to the 4 and the D closed out then they would feed it in to dre. i saw it unfold once last game and audibly groaned lol.

i'm pretty sure dre has more airballs than makes on his hook shots this year. he has to know he should only shoot those in desperation situations since it doesn't matter if he has a smaller player on him for his post ups.

I said 10-10 for the first 20 so this is a loss. They have gotten a little full of themselves so its coming.

Don't shoot the messenger.

I hope Bradley can shut down Schroder and doesn't get into early foul trouble. Schroder has crazy usage % and is having a really impressive season so far. John Collins also have nice numbers off the bench, I hope Tolliver can destroy him tho.

Without Schroder they don't have a lot of options to score, so if we controll him, play with energy, Dre dominates the rebounds we should win this one.

Collins has been playing centre so it'll be Moreland on him

So first thing is, no chance to see Boban tonight and I hope Moreland can do a good job on him, his numbers are also impressive and his usage % are very high, especially for a bench player.
