I'd be happy with 7-6 over the next 13 and a fine 17-9 start overall.

I'd be completely satisfied with 4 wins out of this as long as we don't look sluggish. Voted 5-5

I would be shocked if we got more than five wins in this stretch, 3-7 seems much more likely than 7-3.

This is very likely the high-water mark for this team. However, 40 wins will get us in the playoffs IMO, so as long as we can get 30 wins in the 69 games we can reach our expectations. That's a lower win percentage than we had last season.

My heart agrees with what most of you guys are saying, but the one thing I've been noticing this season is that we have had VERY FEW close games. The last two felt close, but they really weren't in the end. Most other teams have had to make buzzer beaters to win some games, and we haven't had anything like that in the last 8 games.

I expect that we'll win three comfortably, and be in with a 50% shot in 6 of the remaining 7 with the 7th being a blowout loss. That puts us at 6 wins. If I were Vegas, that would be my over/under.

I created this thread and poll mostly to see how people are feeling out this team, and if they are struggling with it like I am. I want to have some context first;

OFFRTG 6th-107.4
DEFRTG 10th-102.4
NETRTG 5th-5.0

Tied for third best record in the league 10-3.

Won every back to back game. Great wins on the road(second being the warriors) killing it in a bunch if statistical categories and yet, like the majority of you(21-9 poll results right now predict a .500 or worse record over the next 10!)I am lowballing them on the next 10(i chose 4-6).

Why is that? By almost every metric thus far we should be confident as fans. Nope.

Is it shell shock and years, and years of losing? Waiting for the shoe to drop?

I'm baffled by this as I should be confident like I have been in the past but i find myself hoping for a 5-5 10 game stand. Thoughts?

Reluctance to get on board the hype train is completely reasonable considering both the recent past and most people's expectations for the season. Going into the year, even feeling optimistic, I would have been very happy with 45 wins. This team, so far, is looking like it could win 60 in our less-than-strong conference. That's not going to happen, so the losses are going to start coming at some point. I think it's reasonable.

It's important to look beyond the record (even when it's great) and notice the real changes that are positive. That's why I'm enjoying the season. Drummond's FTs and defensive awareness are up. Reggie's play is up in general. Bradley looks mostly good. Tobias is shooting really well. Stanley, before getting hurt (get back soon, Stanimal), was finally showing some confidence and competence on the court. Ish has played well, as has Tolliver. Kennard just had a nice game. These are the things I'm seeing, and those things collectively should put us in the hunt for HCA in the 1st round if we keep playing together.

I originally voted 5-5. But I'm starting to drink that kool-aid! Lol I've re-examined it and have now decided we are about to put the league on notice!
8-2 baby! First look at these 10 games looks daunting. But if you dig deeper into it we have some serious rest days mixed in. A big factor imo. We'll be well rested for Wednesdays game and looks like Stanley should be back. The loss at Cavs is on a back to back. Spurs at home are tough. The games vs Wash and Sixers are back to back so that might be tricky. Dre did say "see you next time" to Embiid so he might mail it in vs Wizards the night before lol. So maybe the Wiz game could be a loss. So worst case 7-3.
We're just playing with a whole different mindset thanks to Bradley. Him Tolliver and Galloway have given us some good leadership I believe behind the scenes

6-4.

Cavs, Celtz, Wiz and Spurs look like losses to me. I'm guessing we drop one we shouldn't and hoping we win of of those 4.

Right with you. Although I can see the Wolves game as a win.

Here is how I see it with win percentages

@Bucks - 70%
@Pacers - 85%
@Wolves - 40%
VSCavs - 50%
@Thunder - 50%
@Celtics - 20%
VSSuns - 90%
@Wizards - 50%
@Sixers - 75%
@Spurs - 40%

That puts us at an average of 57% for wins so I am going to guess 6-4.

I'd be happy with a 5-5 split. Honestly, it's more concerning with how we lose a game, rather than if we won or lost. I just don't want to see any blow out losses where our team implodes mid-game, like we saw so often last season.

I'd be very happy to finish November at 13-7 at this point.
I'm a little worried it might be 11-9 possibly

I never changed my original post - still there.

It looks like when CanadaFan quoted me he changed the W-L to what he was predicting.

3-3 so far. Not bad. If we didn't **** up the Indy game it would be 4-2
