He's been very consistent this year getting 12 or more rebounds in every game. Last year this would have been impossible because of certain teams fouling him to get him out of the game. Is this a streak that could continue for a long period of time or is it something that I just jinxed him and he'll only get 11 tonight?

Andre is going to go down as the best rebounder in modern nba history when its all said and done(Wilt and Russell notwithstanding)

He is working on his fifth straight year of grabbing the most offensive rebounds in the league which would beat Rodmans record of 4 straight years(6 times total)and working towards Moses Malones 7 straight year record(9 times total)

Right now Andre has the highest career rebounding percentage in nba history(23.8% #2dennis Rodman 23.4% next closest is at 21.87%)

The man is utterly amazing on the glass.His rebounding is every bit as good per game, with per minuets as ANY player in nba history.

If he played as many minuets as Wilt, Russell, Rodman he would be averaging just as many rebounds or more.

Only ever seen another player live like him twice and that's Moses, and Rodman. Andre is bigger then both(worm was tiny in comparison and Malone although 6'10 was around 70-90lbs lighter then Andre)and stronger.

If he played 45-48mpg same as wilt, he would have almost identical rebounding numbers.

That's INSANE in the modern NBA not back in Wilts nba.

How many of his offensive rebounds are off his own misses? Is there any stat kept on that? I wonder if it's higher than average for great rebounding big men.

it's pretty easy to take his rebounding for granted too. i very rarely see anyone here complain about the pistons rebounding (with good reason) but there are teams that struggle every game to get defensive boards.

i guess those lineups with leuer at center make you appreciate andre haha

Those are tough and painstaking stats to compile. Moses did a lot of what Andre does and Andre said so himself in an interview once about how on certain possessions he does exactly what Moses used to do and pass it to himself off the glass multiple times to get a good shot.

He's so damn big he can reposition himself pretty easily.

He is beasting in the paint on the offensive rebs again especially now that he wants to go to the line.

He led in ORB% last year too but he is just much better this year.

Given that Cleveland isn't going to miss a shot in the 2nd half, Dre's really gonna have to rely on our bricks for those 7 offensive boards.

Drummond is kicking ass this year. Lots of teams probably wishing they would have made a move for him last offseason when there was a good opportunity of getting him. Guys a rebounding machine out there.
