The Pistons have had a strong start to the year. They are 12-6 and 2nd in the conference. I'm assuming most of our expectations have risen with the hot start.

At the beginning of the year, our win estimates were:
ESPN: 35
Vegas: 40.5
Pistons board: Approx. 41.5

Now,
A) How many wins do you think we will end the season with?
B) What seed will we be? Seed the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
C) How will we fare in the playoffs.

A) I think we'll end with 49 wins. We have been 6 games above .500 through just 18 games. I'm playing it a little conservative saying that we will be 5 games above .500 over the final 64.
B) Seed: 5th.

C) Philly topples us in 7 in the 1st round.

I think we are 50+ wins and a top 4 seed by the end of the season. If we can get through our toughest stretch of the season (the current stretch) with a .500 record I am confident getting to 50 shouldn't be too difficult.

We would be playing Boston in the 2nd round. And upsetting them!

Probably finish 44-38. We had a nice start, and stole a few wins. But, we are also dropping easily winnable games (hello, Pacers game). And, we're looking a lot like the Pistons of old, where we fall behind and rally in the 4th to come back and win. But, those bad habits aren't sustainable and you'll end up losing more than winning when you play like that.

Are we better than last year? Yes. Are we a 50 win team? I don't believe we are this season.

If we play .500 basketball the rest of the way, we end up with 44 wins. I think we're a little better than a .500 team so I think we can sneak a few more wins out. 47 wins.

I think in the improved Eastern Conference 47 wins gets us the 6th seed where we face a team like the Raptors. I think we put up a good fight but ultimately lose in 6 or 7 games.

If the Pistons can trade Reggie Jackson and Jon Leuer tomorrow, 76-6 and undefeated all the way to winning the championship.

I got us winning 50 games. That means 38-26 the rest of the way, which is slightly below the current win percentage. I think TOR also wins 50, but we’ll win the tiebreaker, getting us the 2 seed. I think the East will be very competitive the whole season, with the 2-7 seeds all finishing within a few games of each other. Therefore, our hot start will hopefully help us out in the end.

I got us going to the ECF, largely due to ideal matchups. We beat MIL and TOR in 7, get swept by BOS. I don’t think we can beat BOS, CLE or WAS in a 7 game series, but if we can avoid any of these 3 teams in the first 2 rounds, there’s a possibility of making a deep playoff run.

Still havent played CHI/BKN/DAL/PHO and have only played ATL once. So basically, they have only played one game against 5 of the worst teams, that should help as the season rolls along.

6th seed, upset win in the first round. Could even win the second round if Phila upsets Cleveland as we'd get Washington/Milwaukee winner in such a case.

Detroit vs Philly 4 vs 5 matchup in round one would be great after those comments from Embiid. Only downside is I'm not sure we win that series. We might get them this year but next year and beyond I think they're going to be a top 3 team in the east for quite some time.

Feels like we will be playing one of Toronto, Washington, Milwaukee, or Philly in the first round... Those are almost guaranteed if we stay out of the 1/2 seeds as I think Boston and Cleveland will finish 1/2 in the East. Not sure which of those 4 teams I would like to play most its really a tough call.

i think we can beat a Washington, the only two team I don't think we can beat is BOS or Clev. we need to get the 3 seed to make it to the ECF.

Its actually encouraging the Pistons are 12-6 during the toughest part if their schedule.

Echoing what others have stated;

Get thru this in decent shape and 50+ is a virtual certainty.

i think we can beat a Washington, the only two team I don't think we can beat is BOS or Clev. we need to get the 3 seed to make it to the ECF.

If we want to make it to ECF then we best be steering clear of the 3 seed. More than likely Cavs will be the 2seed and that spells disaster in the 2nd round.
