If we were getting blown out in all these games id say we were garbage but all these losses have been close games, it sucks because our record is getting worse and worse but its not like we are just getting destroyed. Got no confidence in us winning the next 2 games either though.

Right I'm with you. But tell that to a couple others around here. People are apparently giving up.

So....Stanley Johnson is not an NBA starter and is now in the "is he an NBA player?" Category.

Nor should you. This team will never be consistent until they replace the corpse of SJ for a competent two-way forward, imo a PF since we obviously can't rebound anymore lately either. Add a competent 5th starter to this team I would actually have some confidence in this team again. Until then we will continue to struggle to close games against playoff quality teams. 8th seed here we come.

I think this team is really starting to show some of its roster deficiencies.

This isn't the type of team that can have 7M (Boban) tied up in a backup center that can't get minutes. Another 10M tied up in Leuer who doesn't contribute even when healthy hurts as well.

Galloway started the season strong but has been disappointing lately. To have 7M tied up in a guy that can't play consistently is rough.

I still like the effort and believe in this team but I'm hoping Bowers makes some tweaks to the roster.

No matter how great SJ is on D he can't be a starter with his limited offense.

That's what I'm worried about. I don't want SVG getting content with this roster just because we win some games against crap teams. Of course we all want them to win but SVG needs to recognize that we need to make a trade if we want to make any noise whatsoever in the playoffs, assuming we make it.

Our offense was so incompetent in the 4th. Can’t win playing like that. Also, Tobias NEVER wants the ball in crunch time. I don’t get it. The offense needs to run thru him especially when we can’t buy a bucket. And Stanley... all I can say is, please stop shooting. Please.

If the opportunity presents itself to trade for a legit starting SF or PF to pair with Reggie, Bradley, Harris, and Dre we should do it. I'm not in the blow it up mode but I do think that our biggest weakness is the lack of having that 5th starter to go with those four guys. Lineup feels great minus that one missing piece.

Who though? Who is that 5th guy we can get? Cause I'd love to do it while keeping SJ and bringing him off the bench.
Hmmmmm
Get me Blake Griffin lol. Not even the hugest fan of his but that might be interesting. Paul George in my dreams. Ryan Anderson in SVG's dreams lol

I agree with you. Tobias can't be that transparent on the offensive end knowing that he's a negative value on defense...

So basically every game thread shoud end up with a homers vs loyals vs bandgoners vs tankers vs believers **** show?

Pistons are slightly above average and a couple or three W better than two years ago.

SJ is too heavy to be carried by the other 4 players. We need a SF and that's it. I have no doubt SVG knows it so it's all good, we should get one at the trade deadline. Next year we'll be good. Luke will be better and we'll have a SF the whole season.

Early in the season we were shooting WAY above our heads. Now we're equalizing. At least we're losing close games. Stanley Johnson probably needs to go. He won't accept heading back to the bench given Stan promised him playing time if he brought the defense. I think he'll needed to be traded in a package for our new SF starter.

I can see SVG trying to bide his time until Leuer gets back and then sliding Harris back to the three and starting Leuer though as well.
