i get that SVG is trying different things because, well, the team needs a spark but i think it's safe to say the starting lineup was just as garbage without SJ tonight.

also reggie is like best buds with SJ (and dre obviously) so that may have been a frustration quote... who knows. all i know is in no way has SJ played like a clear-cut starter.

SJ has been decent effort wise most of the season its just he's been really poor shooting in stretches. Here's the thing, you can't give less of an effort just because your boy is taken out of the starting lineup to make it look like you need him in the starting lineup with you. SVG said that out of his 800+ regular season games, this is one of the absolute worst... poor effort, poor execution, lack of fight. A few more losses and we might be talking about a new coach if the team is looking like its giving up on SVG the second year in a row.

Very disappointed. SVG has to be getting close to the hot seat. I think a big reason the palace is empty too is because of his political commentary. I could care less about it but the right hates him.

i think its more so the price per ticket tripled and no body wants to go down town in the snow. I was quite suprised how empty the palace was when warriors came into town.

Yeah, I think SVg should just keep his mouth shut, it annoys the hell out of me when he talks about politics.

No way, I love it. Keep it up SVG! IIRC, wasn't Popovich pretty outspoken against Trump? I don't think their attendance took a hit and they're in Texas. If attendance is down its likely because its still football season and also because the Pistons aren't very good.

Ridiculous effort...
The film the last 10 games has been:
Starters start by stinking up the gym and digging a giant hole in just 6 minutes,
bench crawls back into the game
end of the 2nd, starters get back and: "WTF happened to our big ass hole? Lets dig another one"
mid 3rd the bench comes back and: shiiit do we need to do this again? Screw it...

It's amazing how weak minded some teams are. They're winning and high fiving but once they start to lose the can't stop it/handle it.

Hmm, wonder how he'd know anything about our trash team...??

Dre is weak minded. We know this. It starts there.

SVG needs to go.
- Running the offense thru someone that can't dribble or shoot.
- after 3 years of posting up someone that can't post up.
- Stanley Johnson can't handle a few dribble handoffs to get his confidence back? Really?
- SVG teams are weak minded because SVG clashes with and punishes strong minded players. He's s control freak and a panic master.
- not to mention how he talks defense but only pays offensive minded players.
- Mitchell over Kennard was a pick any defensive minded, two way player needing coach would make.

He figured out how to play to players strengths from Spoelstra.

Now he needs to learn some humility from Popovich - https://www.sbnation.com/2017/12/12/16768924/gregg-popovich-lamarcus-aldridge-spurs-coaching

Or better yet find a new coach.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

Nothing starts with Dre it all starts with SVG

Here's a revelation for the Van Gundys:
Your bench is better than your starters because your bench has more two-way players!

Whole team is shooting like ****. Johnson is Stan's whipping boy. Time to request a trade Stanley and try to get your career back on track away from your saboteur.

Johnson was GIFTED a starting job this season and he hasn't delivered enough to keep it. Its pretty simple. SVG made the moves to ensure Stanley was going to get every opportunity to make something of himself this season.

Reggie made some anti SVG comments after being asked if the starters need to take it on their shoulders to fix this thing because they're the face of the franchise saying it isn't "just on them but on everyone including the coach".... He also made the comments that teams have adjusted to how they are playing against them and taking away the things that worked early in the season so they need to come up with new ways to attack the opposing teams because right now they are being hunted not being the hunters.

May be they should try and attack the basket more? Get to the FT line more when the U.S. are not falling?
Sounds like a simple, obvious thing they could in game without asking anyone's permission?
Pretty sure they are close to the bottom of the league in FT attempts (imagine if there was no Andre....yikes).

THIS. I've played basketball a lot of my younger years and never did I have a coach who did not stress the importance of getting a high percentage shot (usually inside the paint). I hate how the NBA has evolved into a 3 point/jump shot league. It works for some teams but we don't have the personnel to make it OUR ENTIRE DAMN OFFENSE. GET TO THE DAMN PAINT. STOP CONFORMING TO THE LEAGUE STYLE OF PLAY AND FIGURE OUT YOUR OWN DAMN IDENTITY. The fact that SVG encourages every/anyone to shoot the open 3 with plenty of time on the clock says a lot about his one-dimentional style and lack of creativity. we won't get far playing like that.

side note: I really don't want to make the playoffs. Gores is one of the most incompetent owners in the league. A playoff berth, even getting swept out of the 1st, is considered success to him and will most likely result in SVG getting extended as president/coach.

Eh - this is flawed team. I thought they would be slightly over .500 for the year and that's what we are getting. We aren't as good as our start and we aren't as bad as this streak.

Our 2 "best" players have effort issues. They can turn it on and look like all-stars, or tune it out and look like scrubs. It's really hard to win that way.

Our best scorer doesn't play much defense.

Our best defender is a streaky offensive player.

Our Glue guy looks like he's totally come unglued on offense.

Taking an open 3 is fine but when the shots are not falling, GET TO THE FT line!
