The Detroit Pistons have made starting shooting guard Avery Bradley available in trade talks, league sources told ESPN.

So far, Detroit's asking price for Bradley, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, is significant, league sources said.

The Pistons have been one of the most aggressive teams in pursuit of improving themselves prior to the February 8 trade deadline.

I don't know how we could ask for significant return - I guess a contender would get his FBR and thus could keep him even if they're capped out. 10 days out I'm sure our price will fall. Doesn't help us that he's always hurt.

Also he's a pending UFA, and he might be in the MLE range given his season - so could easily walk for nothing. Probably has more value as an expiring than as a FBR UFA.

He's a winning player but unfortunately this isn't a winning team.

Great idea to trade him to somebody that needs to win this year like the Cavs or the Thunder.

Whoever can give the best draft pick.

I've heard OKC gave this years draft pick and 2020s away also.

So we better get the Brooklyn pick from the Cavs.

It's definitely worth a championship to them. Their defense is atrocious. Avery could get them past the Celtics and slow Curry down for them against the Warriors.

Bower better get to work! Don't do any analytical, calculating SVG type deals. Get what its worth to the THE OTHER TEAM!

Cavs for Shump and Cleveland 2018 FRP is my ultimate prediction. Try and see if Isaiah and Bradley being re-teamed can flip the season for both of them.

What is everyone's opinion on SVG? Does he continue to build this team after this year?

This confirms the logical thing that we should do. Bradley isn't signing here for a long term deal, so we might as well move him. Young player or draft pick? Or do we attach a bad contract?

We were untill Reggie got injured.

If he misses the playoffs he is gone.

I would love to get Ferguson, an athletic freak who plays good defense and been hitting his 3s.

I'd be ok with two second rounders.

Got to be cautious with trading Bradley, because there are several trickle down effects involved by moving him.

1) Detroit is only about 2.7 mil under the luxury tax, so Detroit can't take back too much more salary than they send in a Bradley deal
2) Bradley is the only true expiring contract on the team, thus he represents the only real cap relief available going into next season.
3) Combo of #2 and 3, Detroit is up against the tax and would have no cap space this summer thus the only possible ways to improve would be the MLE and its questionable if they would even use it being so close to the tax
4) Assuming Tolliver and Moreland are brought back, Detroit already stands at 13 players rostered for next season. Buycks is a restricted FA so he could make #14. That only leaves 1 open roster spot for draft picks, trading, free agent signings, etc. Unless its a great value of a trade, Detroit should be cautious moving Bradley for someone not on an expiring contract.

Also, LOL @ whomever said Bradley is looking at MLE money. This is a world where Andre Roberson makes $10 mil a season and offers absolutely nothing on offense. Good perimeter defenders will always be valued in this league, if that same guy can knock down 3's at a good rate he's all the more sought after.

Abrines makes 5.5 mill. And expires after next season. I don’t see the huge issue for a spot up shooter.

Isn't Tolliver an expiring too? And I know he's not a "true" expiring but Bullock has a team option that we can decline thus making him an expiring
Lakers are totally gonna trade us Clarkson for our expirings and probably our 2nd rounder. And I'll be happy young player on a not horrible contract who has talent. Can't beat that as a detroit pistons fan.

1) He's not a good player
2) IMO Ferguson isn't that great of a prospect to take on Abrines
3) Detroit doesn't have an open roster spot to take back 2 players
4) The luxury tax concern and roster crunch linger into next season as well as I alluded to in the above post.
