Also underrated aspect here it Willie Reed. From memory he was pretty good last year, and we needed a back up centre

Hi guys, new guy here, I've been reading this forum for a while now but this is my first post :)

Congrats on blake,

just one question

2018: 1-4; 2019: 1-4; 2020: 1-4; 2021: unprotected. Detroit will send a 2019 second-round pick in the trade too.

does this mean we gave up multiple first rounders?

No! It means that if we get the 1-4 pick this year than we'd keep it and next years would be sent instead. If we finished with 1-4 pick again next season the 2020 FRP would be sent instead etc.

It's ONE first rounder that will be conveyed the first time we don't pick 1-4.

Wow I got home and saw the breaking news of Blake Griffin to the Pistons, that came out of nowhere. Pistons might have gave up too much for Blake Griffin who's not really a franchise player. All star player/ talent but not a #1 guy on a team.

Tobias and the first round pick aren't franchise players either. Griffin brings money to the team and a whole new dimension in the front court. Drummond is about to beast the game like none other. Griffin makes drummond way better.

I'm not upset about any of the guys going out, but I have no faith in Griffin staying healthy. If he does then he'll be a big help, but that's a big if.

I can’t wait for Griffin and Drummond to fight it out over those missed free throw rebounds..... Dre will probably injure him on one

Love the passing and ability to initiate offense out of both bigs. Then you got Kennard and even SJ.

+1

The playmaking and creating ability of Griffin and Drummond to a lesser extent, can't be understated for a team with poor PG play

Remember when some of you guys swore Tobias and Avery couldn’t fetch us a bag of chips?

Hopefully the physicals and all that get completed so the trade can get finalized prior to tomorrow's game.

If not Detroit will be super short handed, and will get trucked by Cleveland

I'm not going to lie, I'm torn on the move. It's not bad value, but I still think we are a move away from being a complete team. If this is all SVG does, then I don't know how I'll feel. On the surface, another great trade for Van Gundy.

R. Jackson?/I. Smith
L. Kennard?/L. Galloway
S. Johnson?/R. Bullock
B. Griffin/A. Tolliver/H. Ellenson
A. Drummond/E. Moreland

This is my fear. I'm happy we were able to keep our young guys. Didn"t realize that there were 2 other guys comming over from LAC. It seem fair but OMG! Another huge, long albatros of a contract.
