Wizards about to slide without wall for 2 months. I think we get in comfortably.

With John Wall out for a while I think the Wizards start losing and fall out of the playoffs possibly. We are only 2.5 games back of the sixers right now and only 4.5 games back of the 5th seed. Our schedule looks easy the rest of the season too. I expect us to make the playoffs now but won't too upset if we dont make it.

If Reggie comes back first game after the ASB it will be close. We'll have 25 games left. With Blake not playing in Memphis - we could lose that game on Thursday.

Will have to go something like 15-10 in the last 25, if not better.

Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Blake Griffin, Brice Johnson and Willie Reed will not play Tuesday vs. the Cavs and are questionable for Thursday's game vs. Memphis.

The Clippers and Pistons finalized the blockbuster trade bringing Griffin to Detroit late Monday night. Thus, it was expected that Griffin would be unavailable on Tuesday. The hope is that all the physicals will be completed by Thursday afternoon, allowing Griffin to make his debut in a Pistons uniform.

Philly has a backloaded schedule due to the London trip and with Embiid still restricted they could have some issues with all those B2Bs.

I think we get in. We won the tiebreaker with Indy, and we have a nice batch of home games in February. Perfect time for Blake to get settled in.

We really need RJ back 100% though before March. If he recover in the next few weeks, I think it’s likely we finish above .500.

The first road game in Indiana where they coughed up a huge lead late.
The Chicago game where Bullock makes the bone headed decision on the 2 on 1 break that should have sent it to overtime
The Brooklyn game where Dinwiddie drives the game winning dagger into the Pistons' hearts.
The Utah game where Detroit relinquished an 8 point lead with 2 minutes left.

If Detroit prevails in those 4 easily winnable games, they would only be 3 games out of the 3 seed.

woulda, coulda, shoulda

Me also. Whatever game ends up being Blake's debut, I predict the game thread to be 30+ pages long.

Okay, I voted no - here's why......

Drummond - we have a top 5 center
Griffin - we have a top 5 PF

The other three spots.......

With a healthy Reggie, we're average at the point guard spot. Without, our PG spot is bottom ten (and I like Ish!)
Shooting guard? Kennard/Galloway? Easily bottom ten
Small forward? Bullock and Stanley? Easily bottom ten

Bottom line - we are really, really bad at three positions. I know, I know, Kennard's going to be great, Stanley can spread his wings, etc. But right now, we just don't have the overall talent to win. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.......

It is going to be close, but somehow, I think we make it in.

I just hope that RJ will come back after ASB, but that's impossible for now. I'm not a fan of him, but with Blake's capability to draw double team, it would just make RJ's life easy. I can see RJ back to 16-18ppg with a lesser responsibility to carry this team.

And we're gonna need Indy or Washington to falter cause all the other teams seem likely to make it now.

I still think we get in but if we do it's gonna be tight and as a 8th seed maybe over throwing the Heat.

Playoffs are still possible though so hopefully we can get some chemistry and better feel as a team after the break.

D-Wade will carry the team to the playoffs

I'm sure they will step it up after barely missing it last year

DWade you say, they are a hard team to predict. They go on big runs or slumps in decent size runs. To me they look like our only shot at overthrowing but even then they have chemistry and more overall talent at the moment on us
