Or Morris thriving as a bench player.
Then there is Monroe who we didnt value very much.

Jerebko played a key role with Boston last year and Utah this year, and Illy in Philly. Both those guys way cheaper and better than Jon Leuer.

Illy had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Philly in Game 1... plus a block, a steal, a charge and 75% (3 of 4) from downtown.

And Sam Bowie was drafted ahead of Michael Jordan.

I really miss Marcus Morris. His energy and toughness was better than anyone on the current team. Plus he's still under contract for another cheap season next year.

If you are going to pine after ex-pistons, it shouldn't be for those guys. Middleton's dropping 31/8/6. You put any of those role players back on out squad and they don't move the needle. You sub in Middleton in our starting lineup and it's a game changer.

Cant want them gone then miss them.

And if candy and nuts was in yo mama's butt.
Most teams have similar regrets.

Middleton hit that last-minute three earlier on also. And the future-superstar shooting guard we could have had is tearing it up against OKC in the first quarter. But at least we've got a low-ceiling white guy who can shoot, right? !@#$.

We've had a succession of two incompetent general managers, and there's no end in sight to the mess that the two of them created.

Greg Monroe 0-2, 1 point, 10 minutes
Morris 21 points on 20 shots, he'll always be an inefficient chucking ball-stopper so I don't miss him even slightly.

The only person worth a damn is Middleton, the one person you didn't mention.

No regrets letting any of them go other than Middleton, as others have said.

Most of my regrets are on the players we signed, traded for, or drafted, not the ones we let "get away".

I miss rookie Jerebko and we absolutely shouldn't have traded Middlen, other than that good riddance for those guys, add KCP, Knight, Stuckey and all other crap player we let go.

Taking on a different approach, I think it’s heartbreaking to see that we let guys like Monroe & KCP go for nothing and didn’t trade them when they had a decent amount of value left. I think we should have been looking for Monroe trades before we drafted Drummond.

Also as others have said, the only players we should actually be frustrated that we let go are Middleton and kinda Dinwiddie. Otherwise taking Kennard over Mitchell, that will hurt for another season or two.

I agree and we're doing exactly the same thing with Stanley Johnson.

Had we kept Middleton he would have never turned into a starter. Either we trade players away who blow up or we run them into the ground and they never become anything. If Stan drafted Micheal Jordan he wouldn't crack the rotation for 100 games.

Nah Middleton was getting better here. He would've been good maybe would've taken a little longer but he was solid here already. I still have no idea how we decided to keep Singler instead of him.

Trading Mook will go down as one of SVG's top 5 biggest mistakes as our GM

The guy was putting up 14/8 on 4M a more than competetent starting PF, let alone probably one of the best bench bigs we could ever ask for.

Instead we give him away to Boston of all teams and use that money plus another 3M to sign Langston Galloway

I still cringe when I think about other people on this board trashing the only guy who brought grit to our team and the only guy who actually stood up and said something when players like Reggie and Drummond were yucking it up to a joke record.

You can argue that Monroe and KCP were on the way out, but guess what we still could have gotten something for them, like say, two second round picks

Then instead of sending out our 2nd rounders we can send out crappy 2nds from playoff teams looking to bolster their roster before the post season starts

Said it before and ill say it again, SVG screwed the Pistons over WAYYYYYY worse than Dumars because he had more money to work with, a blank check basically (Davidson was notoriously cheap esp during the years we were dominating the league) and did jack with it

Dumars screwed us over while he was here, SVG did the same while somehow managing to ruin our future for at least 2-3 years

Plus Dumars left us with underpaid young building blocks (Drummond/KCP, draft pick). SVG is leaving us with overpaid injury prone vets. Dumars had ownership that was trying to sell. SVG was given complete control plus a blank check. And he messed this team all the way up.

It’s tough to blame them for trading Jonas. He was losing playing time to Charlie Villanueva after the injury.

Van Gundy traded Jerebko in 2015.
