If Toronto blows it up--and I doubt they will--DeRozan will be the very last to go.

I don't think teams are going to be banging down their door for him.
If we are screwed on rebuilding for real anyways, toss Stanley / Kennard with contract filler (Leuer / Ish) for DeRozan.

His entire, poorly-coached team melted down in the playoffs. Casey constantly sent him off on predictable, low-percentage isolations into double- or triple-teams.and is making $90 mil over the next 3 years
Which is a vastly better value than Griffin's $151 million over four seasons. Griffin is injury-prone, does not fit at his own position, and is extremely difficult to build around. Even the Clippers did not want to keep him at that price, but Ballmer insisted.has documented mental health issues
You've won today's award for most ignorant poster.I don't think teams are going to be banging down their door for him.
I shouldn't need to explain to you the value of elite wings in today's NBA, nor why they're all much more valuable than Blake Griffin. If we are screwed on rebuilding for real anyways, toss Stanley / Kennard with contract filler (Leuer / Ish) for DeRozan.
Is this a joke? Honest question.

Zach Lowe and Kevin Arnovitz ran down DeRozan trade options on Zach's last podcast. There's not a lot of obvious suitors. Given the uninspiring returns for PG13 (looks better now than it did) and Kyrie (looks worse now than it did), I think it's safe to say teams aren't exactly going to be lining up to give up premier young assets for DeRozan.
Blake for DeRozan makes zero sense.
But a Kennard / Stanley package isn't that far off from what could be expected given traditional trade returns.
How about you actually attempt to add to a conversation instead of just throwing out snark? Give actual teams / returns that you think are realistic for a DeRozan trade instead of just being a useless idiot throwing shade.

Someone generally tries to be civil, but finds you offensive. DeRozan had the courage to share his struggles with depression in a culture that still carries a stigma about mental illness, an act almost unheard-of among major sports figures and certainly a first in the NBA. He has since come out in support and advocacy for those who live with depression, an devastating affliction that affects untold millions and gets nowhere near the mainstream attention it deserves. You used that brave and noble act to impugn his character as a player. I find that incomprehensibly ignorant.Zach Lowe and Kevin Arnovitz ran down DeRozan trade options on Zach's last podcast. The notion is that nobody will offer a package of sufficient worth to make it worthwhile for Toronto to move him, not that it makes sense for Masai to trade him away for peanuts. That would be madness.Blake for DeRozan makes zero sense.
For Toronto. Were Detroit to pull off that trade, the front office would pop the champagne and get roaring drunk in celebration, and the Pistons would be lauded for taking the Raptors to the cleaners. But a Kennard / Stanley package isn't that far off from what could be expected given traditional trade returns.
A role player and a disappointing, expiring prospect will not get you a star, or anything near it. Kennard is not Oladipo, and Johnson is not Sabonis, and Pritchard was castigated for turning down larger offers in the name of sending George out of the conference. Kennard and Johnson is likewise nothing on the level of Zach Lavine and the 7th-overall pick, and that trade was made by a front office duo with a history of incompetence so thorough that it is universally hated by Bulls fans. Masai is no fool. How about you actually attempt to add to a conversation instead of just throwing out snark? Give actual teams / returns that you think are realistic for a DeRozan trade instead of just being a useless idiot throwing shade.
What other teams may offer for him is none of my concern. I focus on the Pistons, and the Pistons do not have anything like the assets necessary to acquire a player of his quality.
