Casey is a defensive coach with little offensive imagination. In his tenure with Toronto, up until this past season, the Raps were a heavy isolation team. Very little movement, very few intricate sets. High picks for the ball handler were set frequently, but passing off the picks was less frequent. Post-ups were rare, as well.

Due to pressure from the front office and players alike, Casey finally agreed to allow a change to the offense this past season. There was more of an emphasis placed on ball movement and 3-point shooting. The pick & roll, with DeRozen feeding the roller, became a regular part of the offense as well. While the ball moved more, post-ups were still rare as ever. And with Ibaka, who was an effective low post player for the Thunder, it's troubling that they didn't put him down on the block over the last two years, rather than allowing him to constantly float out on the perimeter. Any hopes of Griffin being reigned in by a new coach in that regard are probably gone.

Casey allowed the offensive change with an eye on the playoffs. His offense was a weakness in playoffs past, and he hoped a change would get them over the hump. Didn't happen. Offense may or may not be why, but it didn't happen nonetheless.

Which offense will Casey impose here? Guess we'll find out.

Well I know he's gonna make Blake a point forward which is good because we don't want him banging inside and getting injured. I think the same issue we've always had is going to come again. Of course Jackson is healthy again so he's gotta stay on the court or else we don't have a pg that can shoot. Then there's Johnson who can't shoot but maybe he's done something this offseason. Who knows, even drummond might be able to shoot a jumpshot after this offseason and he's got the soft touch to make it happen. I think anything can happen with these players. We haven't made any trades yet either. Not sure how you can keep this team intact after missing the playoffs. I'm sure every player is available except for Blake and Drummond. I personally want Jackson out and if Johnson needs to go too I'd be open to it if we can get a better point guard and Shroder and Kemba are not the answer. But I'd take a Jackson for Kemba or Shroder trade straight swap. It's too bad Jackson can't stay healthy otherwise he's really talented at scoring.

If Blake's your point forward, then you're essentially playing RJ off the ball. Good luck with that. I wish he was more amenable to playing off the ball because he is a good scorer.

The thing is, coming from a raptors fan, ur concerns are warranted. But apparently he is gonna take a LOT of the aspects of nurses offense that was so successful this year and implement it in Toronto. He mentioned it in his interview with Stephen a. He said Blake gonna take his game out to the 3 point line a bit more, be a point forward, it's clear he's finally seen the light in regards to system. That's not really something u have to worry about. He's also good at getting guys to buy in. Although I don't think he'll have much trouble to do that with this squad anyways, I saw the clip of drummond taking off the dribble 3's lol.

What u guys do need to worry about is in game management, especially late in games.

But he'll have you guys in the playoffs perennially.
