What significant player is most likely to come to the Pistons

The Blake deal seemed to come out of nowhere.

If a similar level player comes in a trade this summer, who might it be?

If SVG were still running the team I could see giving IT a one year shot on a MLE. But if SVG were running the team he would probably give Shane Larkin or Dwane Dedman 4 years / $28 mil at 12:01.

Demarre Carroll. He played for Casey. Hes an expiring $15million contract. We dump Galloway along with some combo of Ellenson, SJ or Ish.

Wasn't Carroll a bust under Casey though? He was traded with a FRP for cap space.

I'll say Tyreke Evans on a tax busting full MLE deal. But I think Stefanski will try and wait for this season's Tyreke. Wait for all the dust to settle with all the free agents signed and all the money dried up and see who is the best fit of players without a deal.

Hopefully nobody.

No trades that add win now talent at the expense of future assets. Pretty please.

If Tyreke will be signed to a tax payer's MLE type contract, it surely will not be with Detroit.....

Anyways, "Significant" is a relative term here.

The best we can realistically hope for the team's most "significant" addition this summer will be landing someone on the cheap who's still young with upside like Dante Exum or Seth Curry. These types of guys coming off injuries should be available for $ that might keep Detroit under the tax.

Some are saying Wall has a bad deal. Could there bt a Blake type trade for him? Reggie, Kennard, 2019 1st?

The Blake deal came out of nowhere because the Clippers were fully motivated to move Blake the second they were able--his no-trade window had just expired--and the Pistons were dumb enough to have interest. Had there been no market for Griffin, we'd have heard about it sooner. In the event, Gores and Van Gundy were only too happy to pay a very damaging sum for a player on a bad contract who does not fit the roster.

Nobody, because these things just don't happen out of nowhere but for in special circumstances. Beyond that, it's entirely impossible because we just don't have the assets.

Much like Griffin, he's on one of the worst contracts in the league. That trade would benefit neither team. The Pistons would sell the farm on another injury-prone, overpaid player, and the Wizards have no interest in rebuilding.

To be honest I thought Blake Griffin was coming here and it randomly happened lmao the next player I thought of is Damian Lillard or John Wall so

Unlike others I'm a fan of Blake Griffin even with that contract. Why? Simple. I haven't seen a guy play that hard for over a decade wearing a Pistons uniform and I've definitely never seen talent like that wearing a Pistons uniform. He's amazing to watch in my opinion. Idc for his contract. It's guys like Galloway and Leuer that need to leave the team.

Lonzo Ball.

Ball will be included in Lakers-Spurs Kawhi Leonard deal, but Pop wants nothing to so with Ball, so will flip him.

We trade Johnson, Galloway, Ish, Boban TPE and 2019 FRP for Lonzo Ball and Luol Deng.

Gores loves him the publicity Lonzo Ball would bring to the Pistons.

Lonzo Ball would require the Pistons to play the 4-in/1 out offense, they would have to come up with blocking schemes instead of play sets, since 4 of their starters wouldn't be reliable outside of 10 feet.

I could see us dealing these two for Fournier.
We save Orlando a little bit this season. And we save them $17 million in cap for 2020-2021.
We get a starting wing that can shoot.
We re-sign Tolliver and stay under luxury tax.
Andre, Blake, Tolliver, Ellenson, Moreland up front.
Fournier, Bullock, Luke, SJ- wings
RJ, Ish- point guards
Buycks, 2 rookies=14 players

Agreed!

I want our team to pick up Schroder, Rodney Hood and Kelly Oubre!

Tyreke would be nice if they sign him outright later and lose no future assets
