Lol. 3 people posted this within 1 minute of each other. Congrats, you're the one that didn't delete your post almost immediately afterward. This is the thread to post thoughts on this. We sure didn't need 3 of them.

No opinion until I see what we paid. No way we went into the LT to sign this guy.

A player I wanted to target. Terms will be key of course. Should come cheaper than Ennis, so should leave us money to still spend. I hope it's a 3 yr deal so we acquire Full Bird Rights.

Yeah, I mean, it's about the range of wing player I expected us to get. Has a decent 3 point shot. I'd be lying if I said I've observed him much or know much about him though.

To be clear, looks like it's 4mil/year

Ah, okay.

That's the end of our free agent dealings then, most likely. Minimal wiggle room under the LT after that signing.

Seems a little much for a guy like that.

Locks for active roster:

Dre
Blake
Jackson
Leuer
Ish
Kennard
Bullock
Johnson
Moreland
Galloway
Robinson

You'd think we'd need another point guard on the roster. Not sure that leaves space for either second rounder unless someone gets hurt or someone else plays point.

I'm not real high on GR3, but that contract looks good. Its basically the same thing Bullock got last summer. Hopefully, Glenn has a Bullock type season in staying relatively healthy and shows considerable improvement.

Still have about 3 mil to spend, surely this means Ennis won't be retained. Need a PF in the worst kind of way

Yeah the original seemed too good to be true. Still like the signing though

2 yrs for 8.3M seems high in money and don't have the 3rd year, so only EBR. That's about all our FA money as well, on the second day. Was yesterday the first wave? Or did plans to wait out change when Ariza went to PHX and GRIII became a target of Houston?

I like the signing, short contract for a dynamic scorer that can anchor the bench. Does anyone know what was the injury that kept him out for most of last year?

Ugh, that changes it substantially.

Scratch my first post. I don't like this signing under those parameters

High ankle sprain during training camp that required surgery.

Year two is a team option. That means we're not committed to him next year and can in theory free up enough wiggle room under the new LT threshold to use the MLE next year.

Overpaying for this year only matters minimally as long as we stay under the luxury tax.

If Hezonja signs for slightly higher than this I’ll be pissed!

I think he's getting the full MLE from somebody.

Oooh, second year is a TO. Swings me back to a fan of it. Basically overpaid a bit on money to get our term. Stefanski already proven to be better than Van Gundy.

If we renounce Buycks, I think we could still have $2.5M to spend on a Ullis or Delaney or Mack.

Yeah, the team option doesn't make it awful. I'm just not high on GR3.

Those numbers mean we're basically done, save for trading. I think PF still needs some work.

We can't force people to sign here. If he comes out and says "Yeah, I wanted to play for the Pistons for $4M on a one year deal but they wanted GRIII instead"...
