So a 25-6 vote that our precious young asset will average 15 sometime in his career.... time to get specific...... Will he do it this year?

I don’t think so, Blake and Reggie will get the lion’s share of shots and like still has to learn to be more assertive. Even at duke he was a very efficient scorer but played more with the flow rather than forcing his will against teams.

My guess is around 12 per game.

I voted yes on the other one but it's pretty much a toss up. This is an easy no. I dont think he'll get the minutes and I dont think our offense will be especially up tempo or high scoring.

I met Luke's grandpa and family members on the streets of Vegas a month ago. Lmao. Gramps was dressed up from head to toe in pistons gear so I high fives him and then had a little convo with them. They were excited about Casey and we all decided Luke was ready to break out. Hahaha.

the odds are good that he never will. I like him and all, but without adding serious handle skills (entirely possible...he's pretty good already) he'll not get the pt for that many points.

I'm going to guess the next three seasons will go as follows and he will plateau after that where his highest scoring avearge in a single season is around 17-18 per game.

18-19: 29 mins / 12 pts

19-20: 32 mins / 14 pts

20-21: 33 mins / 16 pts

Unless RJ and Blake go out with season ending injuries, they is no way he's scoring 15 ppg next year.

Luke simply doesn't have a scorer's mentality, he has a shooter's mentality.

His limited athleticism and lack of aggression will always cap his PPG potential.

I'm an optimist. I would actually be happy if he averaged double digits.

Luke is a walking bucket. I definitely believe that he will average 15+ PPG after the trade deadline...

Are you going to have 15 different unnecessary threads (instead of one) that rank the pistons roster like you did last year?

Seems like it given that this has basically already been discussed in the other Luke Kennard poll thread while also talking about future years...

With this 'concept bump' it appears you have an axe to grind about LK? "Precious young asset?" He's not especially young, and while he showed some nice shooting I don't see anyone but you describing him as "precious?" This question is a WAG (wild ass guess) proposition anyway. Camp will determine if he'll even get the opportunity. Look, Kennard isn't Mitchell, and that's not his fault. Kennard is a Piston, and so Piston fans will root for him. The guy can really shoot. This season? Probably not (like I know?). Stanley finally getting his act together, and Bullock continuing to shoot the lights out? So many possibilities.

I don't think he'll play much more than about 25mpg, so that would be very unlikely. I'm guessing he's around 10-11ppg.

It's very hard to predict with a new coach coming in.

Great idea! I’ll make sure to give you the credit.

No axe but I could go through threads and bump the “no way we trade Luke” comments to back up my point. I think there’s an equal likelihood of him turning into Kyle Singler as there is him becoming a 15 ppg scorer.

They are both white and went to Duke

Now all we need is a “Will Kennard score 15 PPG THE SEASON AFTER NEXT season?” thread. Because the modifier “ever” isn’t enough to allow you to define the season during which you believe Kennard will score 15 PPG.

And Pistons homers slurped over them.....
