I tried it in the trade machine but apparently it's kind of difficult to get Tolliver without giving up someone who we actually value. Ellenson doesn't have a big enough salary. We would probably have to use the trade exception if we wanted to get him here which may be possible considering MIN now has plenty of bodies at that position.

We add more defense and a starter on the wing and Bazemores big contract would’ve expire with Reggie’s the following year.

Reggie/Ish
Bazemore/Kennard
Bullock/Brown
Griffin/Johnson
Drummond/Zaza

Solid team without giving up 1st rounders and a lot of cap next summer to retool.

just for the Lulz we could try to get both Beal and Wall

Reggie and Ellenson for Wall
if Beal's price is Monk and Bridges we can offer a similar package? Monk and Kennard should have the same value, Bridges should not be worth more than a couple of 1st round picks right? Leuer and Galloway should be as good as any of Charlotte's fillers (Marvin Williams or Nic Batum)

So

Reggie Jackson / Jon Leuer / Langston Galloway / Henry Ellenson / 2 top 5 protected 1st round picks for John Wall and Bradley Beal

Andre Drummond / Zaza Pachulia
Blake Griffin / Stanley Johnson
Reggie Bullock / Glen Robinson III
Bradley Beal / Bruce Brown / Khyri Thomas
John Wall / Ish Smith / Jose Calderon

Gores should be fine paying the tax for a 4 perenial all stars lineup.

Not sure, I thought it could

The numbers work without a TPE, that would put Detroit over the LT and I'm pretty sure Gores wouldn't pay the Tax for a guy like Bazemore.

It would put us into the tax. If we wait until Dec 15th, Melo can be traded for. A simple Ellenson for Melo trade works. I think Houston didn't release Melo because he'd have to clear waivers first and his vets minimum means anybody could claim him - not needing the cap space first. So Houston kept him so Melo could control where he lands - doing him a solid.

Now I don't think he's coming here or anything - but I bet he's traded on the 15th for money, a TPE and a top 55 protected second rounder.

Melo will probably be released by Houston. Heck, trade Ellinsen or Jose for him.

Lol I posted something like this in another thread somewhere not too long ago. I don't think it's that bad of a deal for WAS to be honest. It's a great rebuild package. We might need to swap out Galloway for Kennard or something but whatever. A good prospect, unprotected picks, and insane amounts of cap relief make for a perfect reset button for WAS. It would be tough attaching Beal in the deal but when it's Wall's contract and you are getting back multiple rebuilding assets then yeah, I think it's worth considering from WAS.

Ariza would definitely fit very well here but he is a rental and doesn't come close to putting us over the top so I would pass on him if we are giving up anything of value, which we would have to because he is going to be a hot commodity on Dec 15th.
