Coach wise, I don't think SVG was all that bad, he did elevate certain players to play to their strengths, and really, I see him as a good point guard whisperer type coach that gets the most out of guard play. It's the mistake that he made in thinking that Dre was another Dwight Howard, when really he's just an elite garbage man and nothing really else, that gets paid a bazillion dollars to do just that. It's not enough, especially at that contract price, that's the facts.

But as both Pres. and Coach, is where a whole hell of a lot went wrong since coaches tend to only focus on the win columns and their job security, and he was always a coach first and a executive second, which is why he drafted so terribly and made silly win now moves. No doubt due to Gores probably breathing down his coked up neck didn't help things either.

We'll never be as bad as we are now. Because if Bruce Brown is an indication, Ed won't draft one-dimensional players.

And eventually Casey won't have to play one-dimensional players that you have to use a PHd in project management to get your substitutions right.

If all goes well and Gores quits meddling, 5 years from now this will be a non-SVG team and it will be winning.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
