I really liked what I saw from De'Andre Hunter but I suppose with Virginia winning the national championship he's out of our reach. There was a time he was projected as more of a mid first rounder but most mock drafts have him 6-8 now which sucks because he would be an ideal backup SF for us next year and likely move into the starting roll the following year. Not sure there is anyone else I see in our range that I'm confidant will be a starter on a playoff team by year two.

I think he will be there as off the court issues haven’t helped and he’s missed so much times. But yeah if your talking a powerful guard who has a dangerous first step then he’s it.(maybe this years Mitchell?)

Probably the most star upside where we would be picking but also comes with big concerns.

At this point I don’t think he makes it past 4 or 5 unfortunately

Brandon Clarke to me is like a mini Anthony Davis skillset. Kid is everywhere out there and blocking everything as a PF.

I think I really go Nassir Little if he’s there. He might drive us crazy like Stanley offensively but there’s better tools to develop with there. Either way he’s like 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan and a crazy motor on both sides with a lot of athleticism and a freshmen so he’s got the youth.

Would be perfect to play that 3/4 role with defense like we need. And hopefully could develop into what Johnson couldn’t. Unlike SJ though he thrives off ball and doesn’t have to have it in his hands.

Louis King is in, not sure if he’s worthy of pick 15 but I do like him and he might rise up the boards after his tournament performances and measurements.

At least we will have options of guards and wings to choose from and first pick of whoever falls from the lottery

Excuse me, if he's good enough to be projected 6-8 and we somehow got him at 15, who tf on this roster would force him to be a backup SF?

Any guy that can do those back door cuts and or spin off from the post catch lob type scoring, is a solid guy in my book. That's a good indicator of good off ball skills, something we really haven't had for many years.

He kind of shoots like Kobe too. The shooting form at least.

I'm excited about what type of talent should be available at 15. Just from small research doing today after losing interest being down 40pts in a playoff game....I like Kevin Porter the most. Nice size, left hander, can shoot, physical tools to be a decent defender. Also high on Langford, Little, Clarke, and Keldon Johnson....all probably in that order.

i don't know many prospects in this draft yet but for the love of god we need a wing that can shoot and make plays off the dribble. even if it takes a few years for them to develop, go for it. watching us play without blake really shows how much we depend on him, reggie and ish to create 100% of our offense.

We need talent, so we must go BPA.

I haven't followed these players much at all but what about Bol Bol? We desperately need a backup center. Bol and Maker could be an interesting shot blocking duo off the bench that can also stretch the floor.

It’s going to be pretty deflating if we just miss out on Kevin Porter after sneaking into the playoffs where Blake doesn’t play. He’s this year’s Mitchell and will not get passed Miami and Charlotte

Maker is not a good shooter and is not a good rim protector.

Most mocks have him dropping out of the lotto at this point after the off the court issues and play but yeah I could see him being this years Mitchell if he isn’t a problem off the court type guy moving forward. I’m starting to think Garland is the one who people will be looking back on like Mitchell though.

This is a nice draft throughout the 1st round. It’s basically

Zion
Ja

Barrett
Culver
Hunter

Then the rest in one big tier in my opinion. The ones who get screwed are whoever end up just missing on the top 3-5 guys in the lotto cause you could hit just as good at 15 as you could at 6-7 this year.

Give me any of these guys and I’m happy

Clarke
Porter jr
Washington
Bol Bol
Reddish
Garland
White
Little
Johnson
Sekou
Hayes
Okpala
Okeke (trade back)

Only guy i don’t really want is Rui

I never got to watch Bol Bol cause he got hurt so early in the season. Could be a big bust or could be the next unicorn type. He’s kind of a wild card right now.

Darius Garland for me. High risk high reward pick. Nbadraft.net has us taking him currently as well.

Garland has even less of an NCAA track record than Bol. His freshman season at Vanderbilt ended after five games when he went down with a torn meniscus. He’s a very intriguing prospect on paper: The next point guard in the Trae Young school of lead ball handlers with unlimited shooting range. The problem is that so much of a point guard’s success in the NBA comes from his ability to manage a game as well as read and react to the defense, and Garland’s injury means there is very little available game film of him competing against high-level defenses. He had more turnovers than assists at Vanderbilt, but does that mean anything when dealing with a limited sample size of only 139 minutes? And how can scouts judge his basketball IQ from shooting drills in an empty gym?

Yeah I really want him but no way he’s there at 15 though. He’ll get taken by whichever of the Bulls or Suns can’t get Moreland.
