Pipe dream to go with this momentum and sell sell sell.

Minimal return- SRP/Late FRP if extremely lucky: Ish, GRIII, SJ, RJ
Moderate Return Late FRP and/or Youth not producing: Dre, Kennard (He still has value out there i believe)
High Return Multiple FRP/youth: Blake (Value is extremely HIGH sell ala LAC did with Harris)

Not expecting this from our ownerships man crush on several of these players Dre, RJ, and Blake

We won’t. They probably still think we can try to make the playoffs even though we’re not there now and we just got worse.

I don’t have a huge problem with the trade but it should be followed by a larger sell off and I think there’s virtually no chance it does.

Maybe Ish next? IDK what the total game plan is yet cause there’s still 24hrs but so far we are definitely looking like sell mode

Ish is a key guy to be traded purely to help us tank

They ought to keep Kennard and give him full minutes at SG. Why trade him for scraps right now? Maintain the little upside players we have who have the skillset we desperately need. Kennard's value should only go up since I doubt it can get much worse

Kennards one of our few assets with 2 years left on his deal. We wouldn’t just sell him right now

If we trade Ish, then we have to tank and sell the entire farm. There’s no way to go about it.

We legit would have only backup level PGs in Jose, Khyri, and Jackson. Zero chance of even seeing our coveted playoff courtesy sweep from the 1st seed.

I like what they have done so far with the expirings. Lets get rid of Ish hopefully apart of a bigger deal with Dre/Reggie for a sg/sf/pg

It will be interesting to see if we do make any more moves, and if we do if they also reduce our overall salary this year. I wonder if that is a deciding factor for ownership since our attendance has been abysmal. If we're going to make trades, make sure we're the ones taking back less salary.

I don't think Gores gives a **** about the attendance as much as it makes good business sense for our cap/luxuary tax numbers for future wiggle room.

Kennard should be kept. It takes a few years for many mid level draft picks to find their way in the league. Unless he is part of a larger deal to get a much better player, we keep him. But sell everyone else and start over? Sure.

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm afraid we'll be making the playoffs. We got rid of our wings and were like It's lottery time, baby!

And then Washington and Miami were like: Hold my beer. This is how tank trades are done.

Combine that with our remaining schedule against tanking teams that someone posted somewhere here and I think we have the inside track to be the worst NBA playoff team in the history of the NBA playoffs.

It would be a pity to pass the lottery this year, we could have a 1/3 chance to hit the top 4 if we lost couple more games than Magic. It is remarkable that 3 different front offices now managed to put this team in the worst position in the league for like 10 consecutive seasons.

I’m actually less convinced than I was that the Wizards deal even is a tank move. The Wizards have Ariza who pretty much fills Porter’s role and had probably been interested in dealing Porter and his salary for some time. Portis is pretty good too.

They also dealt Markieff Morris for Wes Johnson though. They are saying Beal is not being moved though - they made these moves to get under the tax. Short and long term.

Who isn’t that good and fills a similar role to Portis.

These are shrewd roster consolidation moves that save money and remove redundant unneeded pieces, not tank moves.

The wizards may turn out being better with Portis/Parker then they were with Otto. They can use the scoring those guys bring. Markieff has been hurt for awhile now.

The owner is against tanking. Doubt hes going to be all in the media saying hes against tanking then commit to tanking a couple weeks later.

"“We set out goals, and you got to meet the goals,” Leonsis said. “And the first goal is to make it into the playoffs and to do better than we did last year, and to me that will make for a successful year. … What I’m encouraged by is that guys aren’t feeling sorry for themselves. In fact, they looked at it now as an opportunity. They’re getting more minutes, and everyone wants to make the best of their time, but to meet the goal of making the playoffs, not for individual stats and accolades. This is a team, collective goal.”
