2019 Playoff Hunt Thread

so after tonight's game where all of detroit/charlotte/miami won, it means tomorrow if we win we're in. the only downside is that the knicks will be trying their hardest to win because they already have the worst record locked up.

they have a bunch of young, inexperienced guys but if we don't match their energy then they could upset us, and then we'd have to pray that charlotte loses to the magic.

Ideally he'd get shut down early and we can trade him in the offseason. We don't deserve Blake. We need much more talent on the team and the only way to get talent is to trade away Blake. He's too old for the team.

Knicks are already ensured to finish last of the league. Last game at home, I would not be surprised if they come motivated to win this one. With Blake on 1 leg and us being mediocre in B2B situations, I fear that we can lose this one and be eliminated.

Yeah, but don't fear it. If there was a week off before the playoffs start, then it might be disappointing because Blake may be better after a week of rest. But they start Sat/Sun. So even if we win tonight, we'll be without an effective Blake. Would you really want to see that?

If Blake is going to try to play injured we might be better off just calling it a season. Remember Grant Hill trying to give it a go against Atlanta in the playoffs before leaving us for Orlando and it apparently messed him up long term. I think I'd rather miss the playoffs than get swept out by the Raptors.

That one year with the Celtics 03-04 might be the worst. They were the 8th seed with a disastrous 36-46 record. Got swept by the Pacers.

So at least we have that going for us.
