Yawwwn, so boring. It's called smack talk and it's fun.

Also, they are not a likeable bunch. It's hard to like a team when their bench full of no name scrubs are dancing like clowns after every made 3. It must be pretty exciting for them to finally reach the pinnacle of their franchise though.... the 7th seed.

Cmon man. What are you? The mayor of bomont?

Pistons were bound to lose after winning like 9 out of last 10. Just so happened to be the Nets. When the Pistons came out lackluster and the Nets started off on-fire at home, Casey knew from the beginning this wouldn't be our night and limited the starters minutes. Better off to save them for next game.

coaching perspective:

Gotta grow from this one. When your PF is your highest IQ player, the ref can take him out the game with a couple bad foul calls. Plus Blake has a temper and is emotional at times.
You've gotta have a game plan for that.

Big wings carve this team up. Length slows this team down in the paint.

They've gotta have a mid-range game plan for when the paint is clogged and the 3s aren't falling. Maybe play 2 pgs Reggie & Ish and make those two go to work. The Pistons don't have any big wings that are creators so they've got to have an alternative way to crack zones with the mid-range game.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Nets have been pretty solid from where they’re ranked all year and started to click once they figured out how to close out nail biting games. They are not your last few years Nets.

We were due for a loss like this, the lights out shooting wasn’t sustainable and that was what put us over the edge in our last 12 games or so.

On to the next one. But this really highlights how much we need another forward that can kind of do everything. Funny enough, Tobias would be perfect here with his skill set.

I wouldnt be concerned as a pistons fan.... second of a back to back on the road. yea its easier to swallow with just an L instead of being run out of the building but this loss is minor in the grand scheme.

Nets upcoming schedule is road heavy vs all playoff teams basically. Nets Will also rest guys once we clinch a playoff spot... which with how charlotte/orlando are playing may not take too long. Nets perfromance team is as conservative as their is in the league and nets are full of young guys not even used to 82 game seasons let alone 85-90 game seasons.

I dont see the nets as a 6 seeed unless philly/boston/milwaukee rest vs us late as well

It's pretty easy to improve when you've been a bottom feeder for almost 20 years.

You sound like a 14 year old girl who just found out her boyfriend was getting an OTPHJ from another girl or something. I'll chalk it up to being upset about a blowout loss in a game you hoped to win.

"bottom feeder for 20 years"?

-Nets have made the playoffs 9 times in the last 20 years, including 2 trips to the finals.
-Pistons have made the playoffs 10 times in the last 20 years, including 2 trips to the finals and a title
-Nets have made the playoffs 4 times in the last 10 years (assuming they hold on this year)
-Pistons have made the playoffs 2 times in the last 10 years (assuming they hold on this year)

Is this a "takes one to know one" situation? if the nets have been bottom feeders what have the pistons been?

How are you no name losers going to improve? Oh maybe Pierce and Garnett can come out of retirement and you can trade another 3 unprotected FRPs for them.

"no name losers" seems a bit inaccurate. We had just as many all-stars this year as the pistons, and we have a winning record. so not sure about the no name part or the losers part.

how are we going to improve?

-Continued interal growth: Russell is in the running for MIP this year, Dinwiddie was last year and is in the running for 6MOY.
-Nets average age in the starting lineup is 22.4 (Russell 23, harris 26, levert 23, Kurucs 20, Allen 20)
-3 draft picks (#17, #26, #31)
-Cap space: enough to sign any available FA agent

in short, they will improve they same way they have been improving: +8 wins from '17 to '18. +8 wins from '18 to this year (With 13 games to play)

Also, they are not a likeable bunch. It's hard to like a team when their bench full of no name scrubs are dancing like clowns after every made 3

That bench of "no name scrubs" is the second most productive bench in the NBA (#2 in ppg, #2 in pace adjusted ppg, #1 in fg%). Dinwiddie is among the top candidates for 6MOY. Napier, Ed Davis, Caris Levert, Demarre Carroll are pretty well known bench players, many of whom have started before.

quit hatin.

Quit getting butthurt over some trash talk. Nets are trash. Pistons have been trash too. Enjoy the 7th seed.

Congrats. You got a great player in Dinwiddie. Sorry we lost him.
I like how your FO finds and develops young players. They've got a lot of production at a low price. I guess Billy King taught them well LoL.

Our FO is still trying to figure that out. For now we'll go as far as our current big 3 can take us.

You guys will be fine.

I believe the Pistons stole Gregg Pollinsky from us and he was a huge part in our discovery of Kurucs, Bogdanovic, Teletovic a few years ago. He’s been an amazing for us for like 20+ years so I suspect he will land Detroit some sneaky pieces soon.
