I think I can speak for all the real Pistons fans and say we never doubted and never wavered... not for one single second.

Now we are in. Shortly we will know who we play. No sixers though.

How much will Blake play?

it's a shame blake is banged up because the rest of the team is perfectly healthy.

but blake is so gimpy that i really don't even see how we can take a game off the bucks. i'm hoping at least a couple of the games are close though.

none of them can stop giannis individually but i like that we can throw brown, blake and maybe thon at him. thon matches his size, blake matches his strength and brown has the quicks/strength to stay with him on the perimeter. hopefully mixing those looks up keeps him on his toes enough that we don't have to pack the paint too much behind the initial defender.

while he might do well when switched onto him every once in a while, i think he would pick up fouls sooo quickly if he was guarding him full time.

With Blake not 100%, a d Giannis being a physical athlete who scores in the paint and Lopez being more of a spot up 3 point shooter I had already been thinking we should use some Dre on Giannis this series. Also Thon should be getting some burn on him as well.

I wonder how much he will be able to teach us about what the Bucks want to do having been there with Giannis and the Bucks for years.

BUT, if there is a God in heaven, he will let me see Thon try to guard Giannis. I don't ask for much.

We had a must win game and Blake couldn't even suit up for it. At this point we don't even know what he can give us or if he can give us anything substantial. I do know we need MVP level basketball from him to even be a threat to win a game. The last time he tried to play on that knee he gave us 18 minutes and 5 points in a game that we needed. I don't know man this Bucks series might be brutal, #NBATwitter is gonna let us have it...

Sooooo what's the likely schedule going to be? I'm actually thinking of going to Milwaukee to see a game. And definitely want to go to Detroit

A bummer that Blake had such a great season and is the reason why we're in the playoffs, and yet, he won't be 100% for it. Heck, he might not even be 50%.

Regardless, good for the organization to get some playoff experience and hopefully Blake can get healthy with a few days off.

I guess I'm glad for the players that we made it. I'm also happy we didn't have a losing record. Not often we don't have one of those. Small arbitrary victories FTW. No sense pretending I'm not disappointed by how all of this played out.

You can tell it meant a lot to these guys to be in the playoffs.

Not expecting much though. I do really believe that the last stretch here really proved how not ready we are for situations like this. I think those hoping for better than a curb stomping are most likely going to be disappointed.

Much respect to the Bucks for the job they've done building around Giannis. No conventional second star here, just a good set of pieces around him. We certainly helped by gifting them Middleton.

IIRC, most preseason projections had us winning 38-ish games with only an outside chance of finishing 8th? It's a minor consolation then to exceed the wins-projection and finish at .500... Had we been offered this result at the start of the season, I'm sure many of us would've gladly taken it.

But the good-to-great stretches we've had that saw us rise up to 6th late in the season kinda spoiled us -- showing us glimpses of this team's potential, and visions of what could be or could've been. And so, limping into the playoffs with a whimper brings many back to the narrative of the ole' treadmill team getting swept in a meaningless or counterproductive playoffs appearance...

But as things stand, it is what it is -- so let's just take what we can from the experience and enjoy (or suffer through) the 1st-round together.
