Let’s say the draft has went like this

1. Zion
2. Morant
3. Barrett
4. Culver
5. Hunter
6. Garland
7. White
8. Reddish
9. Dombouya
10. Hayes
11. Clarke
12. Hachimura
13. PJ Washington
14. Bol Bol

15. ????

Heat will probably take one of Little, Langford or KPJ but I got them taking Washington just so I can see who everyone likes of those 3 mostly.

Personally I’m hoping for

Langford
KPJ
Little

In that order, All three of them are a bit undersized at the SF spot but they are all long at basically a avg height of 6’6 with around a 7ft wingspan.

I’m in for Bol Bol. I understand the injury concerns and his weight being an issue for some but if he’s available I think we should swing for the fences for the new era. I don’t see any prospects in our range having the ceiling he does and I’m sick of Drummond. Looking at him as a long term piece I’m all in for the high risk - high reward pick.

Yeah go for it, other than the top 2 (Zion and Ja) there is absolutely no safe pick anyway.

I think Langford has potential star power so probably him. Nassir Little seems too limited offensively which is what we're already lacking in our wings, and KPJ has too many red flags for my liking.

I dont know any of these prospects well enough to say but I just hope we take somebody with actual basketball skill and not just an athlete.

Can I ask what makes you think he has star potential? Granted I’ve only watched highlights and not full games but nothing I saw shows any of that potential and the form on his shot looks pretty bad. I don’t think we have the coaching talent to fix that either so in a league with longer, bigger and more athletic defenders I think his ability to finish in the paint will reduce his effectiveness. I’m not at all saying he will bust, just curious why you think he has that potential.

Hopefully one of Little or Porter are still on the board for Detroit, I would be fine with either. If both are there, I'd go with Little.

I'd use Luke. There's something about Khyri I like. I see him filling Luke's role and even becoming a starter down the road.

Contrary to popular belief Kennard doesn't hold a ton of value. However he might be enough to move up a handful of spots in this weak of a draft.

The problem is finding a trade partner. Kennard would be more valued by a contending team with ball dominant stars that are looking for surrounding shooters. There aren't really any of those types ahead of Detroit on the draft board. Lakers are the only one that might fit, but they surely aren't trading #4 for Kennard.

Hoping for 1 of Little, Langford, or Porter Jr.

At least one of those players should be on the board, likely 2. Porter Jr. is my preferred pick, Langford #2, and in a nightmare scenario where Miami and Boston snatch up my top 2 back to back, Little is my fallback guy. I'm not impressed with the other wings around our pick.

good point. what about Atlanta? they dont seem to have a young sg on their roster. Luke and 15 for 10 could work for them

They have Huerter who they really seem to like.

I don’t know about star potential but whenever I watched him he’s definitely crafty as a iso player breaking his man down on his way to the rim.

I’ve also never felt he was as bad of a 3 point shooter as the percentages suggested though either. He’s also got some two way potential.
