Any presser would bring up the gang-rape accusation, even though he was legally cleared. Outside of a unveiling presser the Pistons can control the narrative and questions around him better as it would be about games and upcoming season once camp starts.

Agree that he probably declined. Strange that signing an almost full MLE former MVP of the league you would think the Pistons would want to make it a big deal to the casual fan base but I also could see them accommodating Rose if he requested to pass on a press conference. We'll get reporters asking him questions soon enough when we roll into training camp.
