Tom Gores is really playing chess while the rest of the NBA is playing checkers.

Arn Tellem is such an asset!
At this rate the Pistons will have allocated resources to the corpse of ISO Joe and the non- athletic Lithuanian kid based on Tellems “relationships”. :banghead:

Why on earth would JJ sign with us, versus some team that might have a decent chance at a ring?

Maybe Arn Tellem has a nephew that needs a job. I'm hoping he doesn't have a relationship with Josh Smith or we may see him once again.

Maybe a trade is coming. Because I think we like Beasley and Wood

Because a team with a decent chance at a ring wouldn't want him? There's a trick question in here somewhere, I just know it...

Has to be. Maybe they're waiting to see if we sign him then pull the trigger on 3 for 1. Chris Paul incoming it has to be. Or hopefully something we're not seeing.

I always find it silly that people try to say that league minimum type deals signal that some sort of trade is coming.

We've got 2 non-guaranteed contracts. No need to read more into this than that, and that's even assuming we sign him, which I'm still not convinced of.

I don't see him as a guy worthy of meaningful minutes, but hey, with this team's wing rotation I guess you never know, right?

Would be second worst move of the offseason behind giving up pick 30

I wouldn't mind signing him as a locker room vet and leader but not if we have to cut someone else. Guys like Beasley, Wood, and Svi are most likely better and/or have more upside and potential. If we made a smaller trade that sent out guys like Maker, Svi, Galloway, etc. to get something in return then I would probably be okay signing him to a 1 year vet min.
