Great game yesterday!

Can they match that effort tonight?

Any update on Reggie’s back?

The problem with performances like that, especially for Andre, is to do it again is very hard. After a back to back, Andre playing 41 minutes. Very hard.

So I'm hoping someone else steps up, or Frazier gets some play with Reggie resting his back.

Markieff is a player that didnt play well. If he could become a positive it would help the team a lot. Snell did stuff with his minutes, good shots, some defense. Markieff needs at least that and then hopefully more into the positive side instead of just a neutral player on the floor. Thon is bad and Wood looked scared, not as active as in preseason.

Only team with a back-to-back right out of the gate.

Team on back-to-back vs. Team playing its first game.

Seems an uphill battle on the surface.

The Detroit Pistons won their season opener Wednesday without Blake Griffin. They'll try to duplicate that effort in their home opener on the tail end of a back-to-back set.

The Atlanta Hawks will tip off their season Thursday in Detroit.

Drummond bulled his way to 32 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Derrick Rose, had 18 points and nine assists in his Pistons debut. Detroit coach Dwane Casey wants to see that effort duplicated against the Hawks in front of the home crowd.

The Hawks, one of just four NBA teams that have yet to make their season debut, are building around a young core after winning 24 games in 2017-18 and 29 last season.

They added two lottery picks, forward De'Andre Hunter and swingman Cam Reddish, to the promising trio of guards Trae Young and Kevin Huerter and power forward John Collins.

I can't believe you guys are on a B2B on the first damn game of the season. I seriously don't understand the logic of whoever schedules games for the NBA. I want you guys to win for that BS reason alone.

Hopefully it's a benefit. We just won a long hard fought game against a good team last night so we are going to be more ready. ATL is going to be more rusty.

Let’s not call them rusty just yet.

I’m hoping for the best tonight but last night was a battle and not only is this a b2b but it involves traveling too.

Even though Reggie isn’t that thrilling, without him and Blake the team is definitely short handed.

I have no idea if Reggie will play or how effective he can be if his back is bad.

At this rate Khyri Thomas may even see a few minutes if Brown ends up at the point for a while to spell Rose and Frazier.

That still sounds much better than them wheeling out Steve Blake or Jose Calderon. Gotta keep the minutes manageable for Rose on B2B games.

I know it sucks being on a back to back, but look at it as a positive. I'd rather have more B2Bs early in the season when the team is fresher than more B2B later in the season when fatigue starts setting in. Lets get this tough W.

yeah it sucks that we have a back to back right out of the gate and we don't even get two days rest after - we play the sixers at home saturday. but at least the game tonight is at home and it's vs. an inexperienced squad.

that said, i'm actually pretty excited to watch atlanta's young players, especially their rookies. they have two top-10 picks this year - de'andre hunter and cam reddish.

i'm jealous of teams that get to watch their rooks play minutes, even though sekou is in conussion protocol he won't be in the rotation out of the gate. meanwhile, here are the minutes of rookies drafted after sekou:

(17) Nickeil Alexander-Walker - 12 minutes
(20) Matisse Thybulle - 22 minutes
(21) Brandon Clarke - 23 minutes
(22) Grant Williams - 7 minutes
(23) Darius Bazley - 19 minutes
(30) Kevin Porter Jr. - 17 minutes

I am sure there are a ton of people like me who have the means to go to a game and would love to but refuse to support something that they are utterly unsure of.

If they keep playing like they did last night, win or lose, I'll go to games for sure. Problem is that effort has always been this teams problem. It was better last year, but they are going to have to prove it to me to get me out of my comfy chair this year.

I expect a massive turd tonight. This is the MO of this team. It may be different with the addition of the passionate Rose, and the fiery Morris but we'll see. This team, even with the injuries, if Andre plays like he did last night should annihilate the Hawks. Andre could be MVP of the damn league with his physical gifts, and talent if he played hard every single night. He could carry this team to a title if he played like that every night.

Damn it.

Loss, double digits, Andre disappoints, and Kennard can't throw it in the ocean.

Dre, luke and rose carried the team yesterday, so let's hope some of the others step up. I'm hoping Morris is one guy that can prove his worth because he's key to griffins "load management"

Preparing for a let down. But if they come into this game with the same energy and take care of business, I’m officially drinking the kool aid.
