Game 10: Detroit Pistons 4-5 @ Indiana Pacers 4-4 Fri. 7PM
Hopefully the team can keep some of that confidence from all the great ball movement going tonight!
Looks like everyone with injuries is still out.
It seems like not having a traditional PG has been beneficial because everyone is sharing the ball and taking responsibility for ball distribution.

It's not often one team beats another divisional opponent 3 times in a row. I expect another close game. 110-105 probably will be the range.

Nor is it common for two teams to play each other 3 times within the first 10 games of the season. Ridiculous.

Yeah its extremely unfair. What if you have a key guy out and its only two weeks. But that team loses all three of those games because they are within two weeks.
More NBA scheduling bs. Back to back for the home opener.

If there was ever a scheduled loss, this is it. I will be extremely shocked if this game is even close. It would take at minimum another 20/20 game from andre, another 25-30 point night from Kennard, AND Snell having a decent night at around 15.
Kinda irked Blake isn't playing as that would make this a close win.
98% a loss.

With our changes at the guard position the Pacers will see a different team than they did either of the first two games. I'll be interested in who steps up after the last game.

Wood didnt play very good defense against Sabonis last game. Really nobody on the team did, Andre and Markieff included.
Was the Pacers game Wood's breakout game? If so he will likely push himself and drop an egg, or it seems to go that way more often than not.

Having no point guard and winning at home is one thing. Doing so in Indiana just sounds absurd. Pistons were owned by Sabonis, so if they have a chance, it isn't with Snell going perfect again, it comes down to defense. I will say this for the first time in Andre's tenure as a Piston: he has actually close out hard on a few excellent three point shooters, giving up on the rebound but disrupting the shot.

Why exactly is this a scheduled loss?

My guess: To go 3-0 against a team of equal or greater value over the span of a season is tough enough. To do it over a span of just 16 days? With 2 of the 3 games being on the road? Virtually impossible.

Turner is out so hopefully that will make it easier for Drummond to replicate his game 1 performance.

3rd game against the same team within a few weeks so they learn your tendencies. It's almost like a playoff series. The Pacers are going to want some revenge, and once again, it's in Indiana. The Pistons are down all their PG's, and in each game against them previously, Rose was a huge reason in the wins.Arp590 wrote:zeebneeb wrote:If there was ever a scheduled loss, this is it. Some games the odds are tilted so poorly in your favor, it seems impossible thus, a scheduled loss.
This schedule is Terrible so far.

Uh, why is Indiana leaving Kennard open, constantly? Communication breakdown? That is a reci6for disaster for them.
I mean good for the Pistons Kennard will torch them again, I just found it odd as hell.
