Get him and Aldridge for Dre Reggie Galloway and it would make more sense.

That would be a desperation move by the Pistons something Van Gundy would do I do not believe they will make this deal I certainly hope not

Swapping out Blake for Derozen would be a no brainer. Because, Derozen is always healthy and is a soon to be free agent that if not resigned, frees up tens of millions of dollars.

It's pretty clear with the rumors that have come up that they have begun shopping DD pretty hard the last 10 days or so. They've for sure had discussions with Miami, Orlando and Detroit. Will be interesting to see what happens. I'm pretty sure that Casey benched DD down the stretch of their last playoff loss to Lebron so not sure how he feels about Casey.

Let me say I'd much rather have Kennard than DD at this point. DD only makes sense if you can run this lineup out there.

Actually going back to Toronto makes sense. That cast is a lot better than when he left.

Dre need a no nonsense type of coach in Pop. Maybe Pop can bring out the toughness in Dre

Eh. I generally don't like threads like this that make it seem like something substantial has come to light in the title but then it's just someone speculating.

Not an official moderator position or anything like that, just my opinion.

As for the idea of such a trade, we've already helped the Clippers fast track their rebuild, why gift the Spurs too? Any deal with them will look god awful within 2 years.

Saves us from extending this madness of mediocrity by extending Dre with a likely ridiculous contract. We get a young PG and field a better team this year. Aldridge, although not a 3pt shooter, fits better with Blake. DeRozan gives us something on the wing instead of Snell. LG and Luke start in backcourt for shooting.
Spurs save money on Aldridge and get a 1st rounder. And get a young dominating rebounder in his prime with his bird rights. Enjoy S.A. you're welcome

I'd trade Dre for Derozan and extend him for less than 20m a year. Extend Wood to start. We'd gain perimeter defense and our center would be able to shoot. Money is spread evenly out. Have to get a starting PG and keep competing. Derozan for less than 20m a year is a good contract that wouldn't hurt us going forward

i'm sure we'll send an offer to the spurs about acquiring derozan for luke kennard etc.

What exactly does Demar do better than Kennard other than shoot more? He's 30 years old & he is a mediocre 3 pointer shooter.
Kennard is more efficient & has a better Assist/Turnover ratio. Let Kennard take as many shots as Demar & his PPG would be right up there.
Why would we pair a guard that can't shoot 3s with Griffin/Drummond?
Is Demar the better play right now? Sure, but he's 7 years older.
