Last game thread loss to Chicago had like 5 posts in it so I think its safe to say the the excitement of gunning for the 8th seed is over for most people. A decade plus of best case being an 8th seed with no real hope of winning playoff games, and never being able to be excited about the potential of a top 5 pick really starts to wear on you. You can only spend so long on the treadmill before it starts to make you numb and I think that has happened for most people.

Right now it feels like our best case scenario is we get healthy and get that #8 seed and get crushed by the Bucks again... and our "worst case" scenario is that we lose some games and end up in that 10th or 11th seed in the East but we aren't bad enough to really bottom out and land a top 3 pick.

Sad that at the beginning of the year I almost bought tickets to go to this game. Dodged a bullet there! Lol

Ya. Not feeling confident that even if we miraculously got the 4th-7th seed that we would even have a chance of winning anything.
Best case is missing and hopefully missing big. Either way we need lotto luck and land top spot in the draft. We deserve it after this nightmare of the last ten years

I just keep hoping we start getting sekou some minutes and giving wood a longer leash. There is really no reason the rook can't consistently get 10 mpg. He's going to make a ton of mistakes, but we're losing anyway at this point.

I still watch for the most part, although I don't pass anything by because there's a game on. It's hard not to be discouraged. Getting Reggie proved to be a disaster, but I can't blame anyone for not imagining it would be as bad as it has proven. He just can't stay healthy and should take his last year's pay and retire. Blake was always a terrific risk and likely bad bet, and that has proven out. I'm also at the point where I'm hoping they start getting Sekou, Bone, and king some run. They have reached the point where there's little else of meaning. We're not winning anyway, and upping the hustle level would make them more watchable.

Merry Korkmaz everyone.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Blake enters today's game shooting 37% field goal and 27% three pointers. At halftime he is shooting 1 _ 9 field goal and 0 _4 on 3-pointers.

Blake really should just sit out at the moment, he cannot be healthy enough to play

Not even one full healthy season out of Blake. Awesome trade!

I thought Dre outplayed him. Anyone know why he didn't start?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Blake was awful again. Starting to think no one will touch him and that contract.

If there's a bright side, I think it's at the point no one can deny this is a team that needs to at least retool, probably blow it up.

That's what happen when u run an injured prone Blake Griffin to the ground last season now the front office have to deal with him not being 100% and poor play.

Agreed. I thought it would be a little better this season because I have always admired Derrick Rose. However, this team is sad. I like Luke. Christian Wood seems like an asset. There are some positives... and I still follow... but not like times in the past. Griffin, Drummond, Morris, Jackson are soul eaters.
