Let's face it. It's been a long time since we Piston fans have had a rookie that looks this good. Some say Drummond. Some say Grant Hill.

Now that we have him though, and have seen a few games with him starting and showing a bevy of moves, I want to conduct a way, way, way to early poll to see where everyone thinks he ends up. No shame in being excited and going for it as it's been so damn long for us to be excited. Also no shame in being conservative about your views.

Hes got the tools and motor to reach somewhere between Allstar and superstar to me. His confidence at such a young age is something you see from future stars

Of course you never know and he could just plateau out but my moneys on him developing big time.

Ill vote All star for now and see how he develops in things like playmaking, awareness and if he remains this consistent over a larger sample size.

His multi-faceted ways he can score is already showing more than any rookie we had since Grant really. So I think if everything works out perfectly, he's somewhere between a must have contender starter to multi-All nba caliber player.

Which would be a refreshing talent to have for this franchise.

He's looking great scoring in transition, his frame is big and his touch and footwork look excellent. There's probably at least 10ppg there. He also looks comfortable posting up and the 3ball looks good. He's gonna score in a variety of ways. He looks like the kind of player that's going to put up points with ease, the kind of guy you don't notice already has 25 in the 3rd. I think he'll at least be around the superstar level scoring-wise.

The rest of his game will determine how good he really is. He's got the tools to be a dominant defender. Can he pass? He's going to get extra attention as he develops offensively. I think his mindset is well matched to meet all these challenges as they come.

Solid starter and borderline all-star a few seasons. Can't be sure if he'll ever get it or not but he will be in the discussion. Maybe a Luol Deng type career where he normally scores in the high teens but he hits 20+ PPG once or twice.

I think it’s too early to project anything higher, the sample size is just way too small.

Role player feels like a disservice, but I’m not ready to bank on him being a star. Somewhere between those 2. He’ll be viewed as very good value at the 15th pick in retrospect and will outshine a number of players picked before him.

I'm going full homer on this one. Gotta have something to cheer for.

Obviously he's young and fairly raw still, so nobody really knows. If he maxes out his potential, he's a superstar. There is really nothing about his game where you say "He's got a ceiling here because he's just not going to be able to do x,y,z" He's physical as well as athletic and he's already a quality shooter at 19. Defensively, he's making mistakes but also making plays. Most importantly, he seems to be learning really, really quickly and doing whatever coach asks of him.

In re-mocks of the 2019 draft people are going to put him 3rd.

How about best Pistons draft pick in this century?

Granted, that isn't a very high bar to raise, sadly.

Of the choices available, I think All Star is the closest. If he didn’t improve a single bit from what he is RIGHT NOW, he could still start for any team that didn’t already have an All Star small forward. He’s already at the #4-5 player on a good team level.

He looks like he's worth being excited about.

Id say All star potential but at the end of the day thats just potential. We have to see him show more perimeter skills to think otherwise.

I voted all-star. Looking promising and hes youngest player in the league. I want to believe in this one.

I'm just hoping the front office doesnt think next season "We got Sekou time to make a run for the first round". We need to get multiple all star potential young guys on this team. We need to build a team that a young star wont want to bolt from in free agency.

Obviously way to early to predict any of that but jesus is it nice to finally have a blue chip talent

He doesn’t have a glaring flaw.

Drummond - too traditional
KCP - no vision or driving ability
Ellenson - LOL
Stanley - can’t shoot/no lift
Luke - not athletic or long
Sekou...just raw?

Yeah it's a gamble voting this early but hey it's fun and one thing we can all agree on is that it's nice to finally have a real deal, no obvious flaws, rookie.

I voted all-star although I will be delighted if he becomes something more. He really hasn't shown any obvious flaws which is surprising to me. I was ready to trade him for an upgrade, and thank heavens that didnt happen.

That draft is gonna turn out to be a good one, so many good looking rookies

he actually reminds me a bit of Tobias on offense, but obviously he has the potential to be in another stratosphere defensively.

he’s worth the hype, kid is the real deal.

He is better than Giannis and Siakam in their 1st few games. Doesn't mean he will develop the way they developed. I'd like to see him next season to see how he work and improve at the off season and how he'll play the rest of this season.

He was a great pick tho, even if he doesn't improve a lot, he seems to be an above average 3 point shooter already, a great cutter, can finish with the right and the left, can dunk on people, can play good defense. He Just need to reduce the rookie mistakes/dumb fouls and he will be an above average starter at least.
