Too soon for that, hopefully use it to take back a bad contract or sign a 1 year deal like Knicks did with Morris

The only realistic thing that scares me is something like a max to Fred Van Vleet

Knight will be a FA, Reggie Jackson will be a FA as well. I heard Jon Leuer is also a FA. We won't be paying Josh Smith his money anymore so maybe we give him a 2nd chance?

There is absolute cah-cah in free agency this upcoming off-season. I hope Gores saves the Dre cap space to put towards that downtown practice facility he just built. Save the cap space for the following off-season - sure we're not a destination, but saving that space means we tank again next season.

Rose|(Bone)
Brown|Kennard|Thomas
Snell|Mykhailiuk|(King)
Griffin|Doumbouya

Wood is a FA. Markieff has a PO. Bone very likely signed to full contract. Not sure about Lou King. We have our own first round pick, no second rounder. We have FBRs for Jackson and Galloway - both UFA's. Thon Maker is a RFA - I could see him back.

Take back bad contracts, thats the name of the game. Let other teams make bids for the stars. They are not coming to Detroit. Get picks.

We REALLY just need to use our cap space to help teams salary dump and pick up some future 2nds etc in the process. There is no point in signing vets at the very beginning of a rebuild.

No reason for teams to want to salary dump when the free agent class is so bad - unless we're selling our 2021 off-season space by taking on longer deals.

Yeah, best bet is to sign guys to 1-year deals and reset the cap space again next offseason. Detroit won't pull any free agents in then either but teams might actually want to dump salary with assets that summer. It's not happening this year.

Yeah, as mentioned the best course of action is clearly to becoming a salary dumping ground and acquire picks for doing other teams a favor.

If free agents must be signed, to get to the cap floor or whatever, as strange as it sounds I'm taking a page out of the Knicks book and signing guys to High salary 1 year deals. There is absolutely no reason for this team in this free agent market to sacrifice future cap flexibility on multi year contracts.

Sign Baynes to a 1 year deal if we don't get bites to take on bad salary?

Actually, No. I think that would hurt our tank too much.

Pistons picked a hell of a time for cap space huh?

Man that list is gruesome.
