Why is Reggie still on the team? Why is his contract not bought out, yet?

Good loss, we would've never lost this with Drummond playing tho. We are bad at rebounding, as expected.

this is the downside of the Knicks signing veterans to 1 yr deals, this is why I prefer we use our cap in trades to take on bad salary attached to draft picks.
I dont want players like Wayne Ellington leading us to W's next year

We need to be careful with Wood’s contract next year. Be clear with him during the off-season. Tell him we want him to be a major piece going forward, but we need to not over pay here.
We love him because he’s over performing. But what happens when he’s making 12 million a year. We will be more critical of him.
His future with us is exciting but financially worrisome.
Will he keep getting better or is this his peak? He needs to keep working if we give him big money.

“We’re not close to a bottom 5 record”
some people need a reality check.

Yeah looking at the standings i can see us pulling off a bottom 5.
Hopefully Rose doesnt hurt that though cause he probably would have been able to close a game like this out

Thon sucks. That’s all I have to say here.
He got 3 rebounds in 29 minutes of play as a center. Abysmal.

we are close, but i doubt we finish bottom 5.
All these teams are already a 3-7 wins behind us,
Warriors, Cavs, Hawks, Timberwolves, Charlotte,
I dont think we catch any of them, maybe the Wolves if they go on a run

Yea I really hope we keep him. You think 2 years at 10 million per year gets it done? I'm not sure what he is worth to be honest. I assume we dont want to spend money more than 2 years out cuz Blake's deal will be gone by then.Han Solo wrote:We need to be careful with Wood’s contract next year. Yeah theres no reason to spend 30 mil on a rebounder but you definitely gotta do better than Thon Maker at the 5.

crazy how pistons had the strongest frontcourt with blake and drummond and now start two twigs at pf and center.

My guess is either 3/30 or 3/36. Maybe the 3/30 (10 mil a year) is the better bet. I think he will want a three year deal. Won’t matter about the timing of Blake’s contract. Wood has never been paid. A three year deal seems right. 4 is too long in case he’s a future all star and not paid like it. And 2 years is too short after never really having security in the NBA. I think we give him a three year deal.
