Figured we could do a big board over the next few weeks since everyone in the top 10 is either injured, withdrawn, overseas and were bored. Plus we got a pretty good idea what were looking at at this point. Ill update weekly.
Also leave a nomination for who to add on the poll next please.

Ill take Edwards #1, i hate his shot selection but love his skillset/size and that he wants the ball in his hands with no fear of high volume which could result in a big scorer at the next level
Nominate- Nico Mannion

I’m finding whoever wants that #1 the most and trading down.

Yeah. If I got the number one pick I'd be looking to get assets to move down, if possible.

Yeah this is the year where you trade down since there aren't any Lukas or Zions of the world in this draft.
No Wiseman though, I would look to trade down if we were picking and he was still available.

Get #1, trade down and take LaMelo Ball.

What is the salary structure for rookies these days?
Hypothetically speaking it would be fitting if we somehow managed to get 1st overall, pick the most talented player and STILL ended up with a bad contract on our hands because the talent pool was so poor. I don't think this happens but I guess I'm in a bit of a sarcastic mood right now.
other: Trade first overall for a bad team's unprotected FRP in 2021 if you can swing it. No contest.
Then tank next year with the idea of securing two great picks in a supposedly loaded draft.

The reason why a lot of us would prefer to trade down, is the same reason why it will be tough to find someone who wants to move up and give extra value in order to do so.

Yah its going to be tough finding somebody to trade down with. Unless another team outside of the Warriors get real unlucky with the lottery.
For instance i did a lottery simulation (1 hit of the button and we got #1)
#1. Detroit
#2. Atlanta
#3. Minnesota
#4. New York
#5. Golden St
#6. Cleveland
#7. Charlotte
#8. Chicago
#9. Washington
#10. Sacramento
Like what deals would make you happy?

Yeah, this is very true.
You never know though. A front office might become infatuated with a certain player. Bad draft trades happen.

Trading down makes sense, unless Luka is there! Its hard for a Front office to make that kind of trade and then be doomed to live up to their terrible mistake. So most FO will not trade down, just take the guy they like and be done with it.

This is exciting. I was interested to see who the consensus was going to be here, and it did not disappoint.
I agree with trading down if the team ends up with #1(I would have a stroke if it actually happened)but it could be a huge whiff if this guy becomes a monster.
He looks like the type of player who can go on unstoppable runs.

1. Ball
2. Edwards
3. Haliburton
4. Avdija
That order. I do not trust Anthony and Toppin. Mannion seems too risky.

Anthony Edwards for me. He could very well be a bust but he has the highest ceiling out there. He could turn into a D.Wade type if he gets it mentally. Also if hes a bust hes the type of guy that will jack a bunch of shots next season which will be an elite tanking weapon.
https://www.theringer.com/nba/2020/2/12/21134535/anthony-edwards-nba-draft-2020-georgia Recent article on him.
I'd love to trade down a couple picks as well guys. The problem is the rest of the league is aware like us that no prospect is worth trading up for.

I want nothing to do with LeVar Ball here in Detroit.

Killian Hayes for me. I like Edwards but I have no faith this will be the right situation for him. His bust potential is much higher with us than anyone else. Let’s not do this to the kid.
I like Hayes. Cerebral, size, iq, tools for a true pgotf. Plus there’s something about foreign prospects I like more than American unknowns. Their mentalities and approaches to the game are different. The French connection is also underrated. Sekou needs someone on the court he can connect and thrive with. I’d take this kid with a top 5 pick.
Theo Maledon top 10-15

#1 I go Edwards he is shooting terribly and has some terrible decision making but the guy is a big athletic guard who can get to the rim and the line at will. He also has great potenial to be great on defense two way player are valuable in the NBA.

I don't know much about the prospects this year, but having watched a couple highlight videos of Edwards and looking at stats, I'm not all that impressed. He seems like the NBA body type that does well in college but under-performs his NBA draft slot. He doesn't look college Stanley Johnson mediocre, but still giving me some SJ vibes.
On the other hand, watched some of Wiseman, and he looks legit. Big, strong, fluid, and agile for a 7'1 center. I think we could take him and draft a lotto guard next year. It would be fun to watch C Wood and Wiseman dunk everything in sight next season.

Has he been an issue in New Orleans?
