Im gonna go with Lamelo, hes really inefficient but we could use a floor general to groom with his type of elite passing.

Lamelo is intriguing for the intangibles but he isn't all that athletic and he kind of has a weird shot. I wouldn't be disappointed if we took him though. For the record, I went with Wiseman.

Lamelo for me too. I like that hes a big and long pg. Obv has the great passing. Hes got that high basketball IQ so hes going to make guys around him better.

His weaknesses are not being an explosive athlete and his shot. He most likely isnt going to be that franchise game-changing pg but he could be a good piece for the rebuild esp if we draft a guy like Cade Cunningham next season.

God no, not LaMelo. Why? What use is there for a less-than-average athletically speaking PG that can't shoot? Sure he can probably pass well in the NBA, but that's not a reason to use a early lottery pick on him.

He's in no way better than his brother, who is finally just now figuring out how to play in the NBA as an average PG.

Ugh ugh ugh. WHY?

Somebody needs to make a worst case scenario big board for when the management inevitably takes the worst pick available.

LaMelo? Really though?

His shooting form is completely shot and I don't really see him being more than a sixth man in this league.

My vote is for Cole Anthony or Hayes or Haliburton

As much as we need a pg, I'm not sure how you pass on wiseman at #2. If Ball was a better athlete and just had to work on his shot, I'd lean that way, but he's not. After that, if you want any of the other pgs, you can probably trade down for them vs reaching for them at 2.

If Wiseman does turn out to be the next Embiid and not the next Hassan Whiteside, DJ or Dre it won't be based on his body of work so far.
He hasn't displayed any abilty to shoot from the outside. ~60% FT shooter.

I just don't see a clear-cut #2.

Ball is just as risky due to lack of athleticism and the circus he endured to get to this point.

I think you're going to end up with a project or a chucker if you don't pick #1 in this draft; unless you go for one of the older guys like Toppin with limited upside.

I think I go Ball here; if only because he's still really young, has size and can likely be flipped to a hopeful team for something even if he doesn't pan out for us. (e.g Lonzo or Markelle fultz)

If we got the number one pick, I'd be open to trading down for future picks. Killian * who will take some years to mature. Lamelo, who we all like but still has issues with shooting. And then Obi Toppin... older but more mature and ready to come in and help right away at a position of need.... SF. That is if we think we can sign Vanvleet to fill out our guard situation.

I like the idea of LaMelo, draft the guy with the feel and he can learn to shoot later.

This is another thing say Lamelo does turn out improving as a shooter later on he could turn into a franchise pg for us. I know everyone is thinking "well Lonzo didnt improve", well thats Lonzo. Not saying its likely just possible. Melo does take alot of long-range pulls up and does make some. If he ever does get that shot down at 6'7 with his handles and passing ability hes going to be the man.

As far as Wiseman whos seems to be the other favorite to be the 2nd pick, I just dont like the idea of following up Drummond with another non shooting center at pick 2.
