Hall was signed to a 10-day contract Saturday, Mark Stein of The New York Times reports.

Hall has a good chance to get his first taste of NBA action after receiving a 10-day contract from the Piston, who's G League team, he's labored on this year. The Alabama product demonstrated exceptional skills on both ends of the floor for the Drive and could see immediate minutes as a part of the Detroit's thin frontcourt rotation. Look for an update from the team clarifying his availability for Sunday's tilt with Portland.

Hall, a 6’9″, 230-pound 22-year-old undrafted rookie out of Alabama, has averaged 15.4 points per game and 10.5 boards per game for the Drive, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times (Twitter link).

This is the guy I've been hearing alot of you wanting to bring up so hopefully he shows something.

At the very least, the front office is making the obvious moves. Previous FO would not make the obvious, everyone thinks you should, moves pretty regularly. Things like choosing Wood, trying to get King on the floor some (6'7" wing) and signing this guy for some time are good obvious moves.

Donta has played hard and well for the Drive all season. 'We're definitely not tanking' so he deserves a chance to show against NBA competition. What I've seen, Donta doesn't lack for compete.

Agree. The previous regimes made me concern when the wood or Joe Johnson decision came up they would make the right decision. They did

This Hall kid can play. Has an elite motor. This isn’t just a fluff player we all are talking up. He will be a productive NBA player.

Great news. To have a successful affiliate I think you've got to reward these guys where you can.

He looks to have the tools to do the dirty work for us, not beyond the realms of possibility he could be our next starting C.

Yeah, can he really be worse than Thon Maker? I say at least give him 25+ minutes for 10 game and lets see. Im betting he has a MUCH higher ceiling for games, like how Wood can break out occasionally and hurt the other team, offensively and defensively.

Thon? His upper limit is 15 points and thats with a couple miracle-esque 3s.

I guess he came right from the flight there to start practicing, so no way he saw the floor against Portland. Next game lets hope!

Thon sucks but gets the start. Henson looks better.

Should be Henson starting and Hall coming off the bench.

Thon maybe has a place in the NBA taking the vet minimum to be the LAST big off the bench and pro towel waiver. Maybe.
