Knight's right. That should have been called a foul. Glad it wasn't.

LOL, McRae looks to be the ultimate hero-ball journeyman.

Day one and he's calling for dudes to clear out when we're down 1 with under a minute left just to throw up an ugly shot.

Anyways, thanks for helping the tank, McRae.

Wood will get paid more. The center market is completely dead now. Nate Duncan podcast talked about this in a pod a couple weeks ago.

As far as Wood a month ago the ringer wrote about him an a article.People are noticing what hes doing nationally. Its not just us.

"Christian Wood, Pistons: Wood has finally found success in the NBA on his fifth team. The 24-year-old Pistons big man entered the 2015 draft as a raw project after two years at UNLV, and he’s since dramatically improved his screening fundamentals and his shooting range while also adding meat to his once-razor-thin body. It’s working: He’s scoring an elite 1.18 points per possession, mostly off spot-up 3s, cuts, and pick-and-roll chances, according to Synergy Sports. He’s one of only two players to shoot over 75 percent on rolls to the rim and 35 percent on 3s, along with Dallas’s Maxi Kleber, who signed a four-year, $35.9 million contract last summer. Kleber has Luka Doncic passing him the ball; Wood has Derrick Rose, Bruce Brown, and Langston Galloway.

Wood’s steady progress suggests the free-agent-to-be could be an impactful two-way player on his next contract—which he’ll earn this summer as an unrestricted free agent. Wood no longer lets his offensive production dictate his defensive energy, a sign of improved maturity. Though his fundamentals still need work, he isn’t a complete liability."

Since that article hes been killing it even more. Hes getting paid.

Honestly, shut Wood down. He got a hangnail and now has nerve damage in his hand - whatever it takes. He has to stop putting up big games, his price is getting too damn high!

I’m offering wood 4 years and 50 million on day 1, and I’m not even blinking.

Yeah theres just no way i could let him go. Hes one of the best dunkers in traffic in the league in my opinion and one of the better looking legit big man shooters in the league as well.

Imagine if the Pistons stayed with Joe Johnson. Wood would have been on a different team. :banghead: Maybe Ed Stefanski sees what we are all seeing.

Whatever it takes. Keep him around.

Must be a crazy feeling. From thinking you could end up out of the league, to heading for a massive contract.

Wood is undoubtedly the brightest spot of our season. Would be a shame to underbid and see him walk.

We aren't winning jack next year. Move some pointless expiring contracts (Snell, etc.) if needed, but pay Wood.

And for goodness sake, trade Rose. Let him help with the team choosing, but trade him.

I never understood why Drummond couldnt be this ferocious at the rim. He had damn near 100LBS on Wood but nowhere near the type of motor.

Return to Detroit Pistons
