Assuming all current players return and are healthy on opening night, who would you like to see start? Mine....

God aren't we depressed enough?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Hopefully 5 guys all 25 and younger. Shouldn't be anyone older than Wood starting for us in an ideal rebuild.

I mean, if we get a top 5 pick, whoever it is will probably be starting for the team.

Seeing as Blakes more then likely still starting do you guys think he would be better at the 5 at this point?

Just thinking with his mobility and athleticism way down now you may as well just put him there as a big body.

Think he'll struggle on D regardless of position. I'd pick n roll him to death if I was the opposing coach.

I don't necessarily see most of the top 10 picks as day-1 starters, especially with the COVID-19 interruption in play.

I was thinking the opposite!

If I was declaring for the Draft I'd find somewhere to get the work in.

You're talkin' about practice. Not the game. :)

More seriously, the invitationals and scouting sessions are getting canceled. Heck, I just read an article about basketball being specifically prohibited around here, which echoes what's going on across the nation:

https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/wayne/2020/03/28/coronavirus-covid-19-group-sports-prohibited-parks-dearborn-police/5085631002/

So, I'm expecting vets get the nod unless we draft Wiseman, maybe put Blake in the second unit to limit his minutes and keep him healthy. I doubt any rookie PG will start over Derrick Rose. None of the wings seemed like day-1 prospects.

As much as I’ve been impressed with Blake’s attitude and play (in spite of the injuries), if we can trade him, that’s what we should do. That obviously changes our starting 5.

Considering the potential picks, and considering our coach, I'll be completely shocked if a rookie is in the starting lineup on opening night.

Only hypothetical..

Would you trade top 5 Pick and say snell for devin Booker??? And if yes you would trade even the 1st pick,??

I mean booker is young....a detroit Native...he loved the pistons...and a star

With harrell as FA we would have some nice Talent out there

Yes I agree and mentioned this before.

Blake is done if comes back anything like he did this season. He could barely move laterally and changing direction to run out at guys shooting 3s was impossible for him.

No team can have a guy playing heavy minutes who can not guard anyone.

Blake might make a good backup if he shoots the 3 really well and focuses on passing/running the offense. He might also be out again next season.

It will cost the pistons too much in assets to trade BG, better off just eating his deal for the remaining two years. Only problem would be is if he comes back healthy and helps them win too many games, but I think that is an unlikely outcome moving forward.

That's what I would expect. And keep Blake to 25 mpg.

Haliburton-Kennard-Snell-Griffin-Wood
Rose-Brown-Svi-Sekou-Henson

Blake-Wood can play together, Sekou-Wood cannot.
