Why, I'll never know.

At this point the common denominator is gores. He won’t take or rebuild properly.

I dunno, maybe.

The Weaver/Grant connection has me suspicious.

Im starting to think Weaver is a sleeper agent working for other teams.

Everyone out West that we dealt with got better. The Pistons got worse, but he works for OKC still, or Houston, Clippers. Maybe hates Denver?

Denver lost Grant and Plumlee.
Houston was gifted Wood for Ariza.
Clippers gained Kennard and 4 second picks.

Stretch 5's are becoming a trend in the modern game.
Clearly Weaver has decided to take this trend to the next level.
Dedmoney for the next 5 years.

Why couldn’t we sign and trade using Dedmon for Grant?

Denver probably doesn't want him.

Detroit surely would have offered Dedmon and/or Ariza. Especially given Jamychel Green was signed by the Nugs to replace Grant, Ariza would have made sense. However Green signed for 5M less so I get it from Nugs perspective. Surprised they didn't S&T him to Detroit just to get the huge TPE.

My guess is Detroit didn’t have a first to trade them.

So is this a stretch? Or just a waive?

It's a stretch. You know what really gets me... Are we even sure Mason Plumlee is that much better than Dedmon? I'm dead serious.

Maybe Plumlee and Grant are buddies so signing Plumlee was a 1st step to sign Grant...

Yes. Plumlee is a better player than Dedmon.
