Teams with a relatively high amount of continuity between seasons will be at a considerable advantage to start the season.
Wonder if some players will be out of shape to start the season too, especially for teams who weren't in the bubble.

On paper, the Pistons look like a team that could compete for an 8-10 seed but with three weeks and four games together, it won't be pretty. Good for the lottery chances.
I wonder about conditioning too. For players that went deep in the playoffs, having so little time to recuperate and the compressed schedule, injuries will likely go up.

I agree, roster continuity will probably be the most important factor for teams during the start of tho season.
Considering 8/10 of the players likely in our rotation are new, it might be a slow start for us.

Let's hope so! I hope they start super slow, lose maybe the first 10 games, team gives up, Casey decides to play the young guys, amd we start next season with the #1 pick on the roster.

Yes, but also, the teams that played deep into the bubble playoffs aren't going to be ready to compete. They just finished their season. They're still recovering. They'll be treating the first few weeks like preseason, while the teams that haven't played since mid-march will be chomping at the bit to get after it.

Unless Blake, Rose, and Grant come out and dominate we should be a bottom 3 team in the league after 36 games (half way through the season).
I agree our complete roster overhaul combined with such a tiny amount of time for the rookies and new players to get into our system means we should have a bunch of growing pains early one. I'm expecting 1-9 or 2-8 over our first 10 games of the season.
