LaVine in Covid protocols.
I recognize that you can't control everything and **** happens... but if I were a playoff team I'd still be living in a friggin' bubble. No unnecessary risks. I get that sucks, but ya know what sucks worse? Not being able to play. You're being paid millions of dollars, suck it up and deal with it.

I don't know if someone has ever helped themselves more during a playoff run (Trae Young last year) and then hurt themselves more (Trae Young this year) during a playoff year. That is some ugly ugly out there. There's time yet...but I don't expect it.

KAT is unplayable bad. He is so talented but he is so soft and his mental is so bad, Jimmy Butler wasn't wrong. I hate when players force their way out of a team but he was 100% correct.
If Minny get rid of KAT they'll be scary, they have a nice team.

And of course after I post that, KAT decided to start playing and carry his team

He heard you talking smack and decided to do work
KAT is seriously the most polarizing 7 footer star in this league. The guy can rack up the dumbest fouls and defensive plays but he'll also drop a bunch of points to lift your team sometimes

He just doesn't play any defense at all. Offensively he's up there with his passing ability, long ball shooting, and BBIQ as much as the greats but man when those shots aren't falling or he's rattled, he looks unplayable

I hate to say this, but I heard conjecture on a podcast involving Kat. Said it would make sense to trade Kat to the Pistons for their lotto pick. I don't think it will happen, but I also acknowledge it would make both teams pause in consideration if the Pistons land a top pick.

He's in his prime but only has 2 years left on his contract. Cade with Towns would make us a offensive force though if something like that we're to happen.

I think it's a no if they offered KAT. Not a hard no since anyone that watched him play can see he has bundles of talent as a 7 footer that can score everywhere. But he might be one of the least defensively aware players right now. It's almost hard for a pro to easily rack up the dumb fouls he does yet he does it anyways
But at some point you have to pull the plug on
the hype of what he can be and look for someone a little more reliable

Re: Around the League
KAT is super Bagley. The fit with Cade on offense is spectacular, but he needs to be a 4 (like Bags) to work defensively.
Honestly, though, I don’t see it for Minny. The three guys they could pick top 3 to replace him all have issues as well. Guess it could be a money thing. I will say I’m more interested in this than in the Zion thing in the other thread.

Re: Around the League
What NO is doing with 3 rookies and without arguably their best player is insane.
Zion should be encouraged and work super hard (even if they lose today) and come back next season, they could be legit contenders.

Zion was out there in warmups going thru the legs looking pretty good.... still big but for sure has dropped some of the weight from early season. Sucks for their fans what they've had to go through with Davis and Zion but it seems their 2021 rookies as well as the trade for CJ are all going to be solid moves for them.

Ingram is better than Davis (he already did more than AD did leading the NOP), and they have a good pick this year and some other parts to go with it out of the AD trade, it worked well for both teams, LAL got a championship, NOP got a future.

I was flipping back and forth between the Wolves/Grizzlies game and the Heat/Hawks game. It was crazy just how obvious it was that two of these teams knew how to play good basketball and two of the teams were basically just throwing spaghetti against a wall to see what stuck.
I kept thinking that either of the Heat or Hawks would have just destroyed the other two. Whoever wins out of Memphis and Minnesota are going to get a false sense of security in how far along they think they really are in terms of growth. You still just have a bunch of individuals chucking up shots for the most part and everyone else just standing around watching them do it...

Embiid injured in the game 6 series closer against Toronto.... with less than 4 minutes to play in the game and the Sixers up 29 points. Just crazy he was still out there. Miami looking like they have a pretty clear path to the ECF finals now. Celtics also get the boost of Middleton being out the entire season.

He was somewhere overseas for a couple years and then he somehow came back.
He looks exactly how he used to haha at least he’s consistent.
