That seems like bull because they had the 16th pick and didn't take him there... if they thought he was too good to still be there and he feel way below where he should have gone, they would have taken him 16th or would have been stupid to pass on him at #16.

Stewart was picked, we are told, because Weaver worked with Stewart's coach and knew he had incredible talent, etc. I was hoping Pistons chose Nesmith, but he went before Stewart and Celtics won't even play him,

If Bey was supposed to go top #15 lets say, then why not pick him at 16?

17 was Thunder taking Pokemon guy
18 is Mavs with Josh Green
19 is Pistons

Were the Thunder going to take Stewart, probably not. Poku has a way higher ceiling if he gains a bunch of weight. They are a high ceiling, waiting 2 more years team.

Mavs need wings and shooting. A shorter center was not a target. So who were the Pistons trying to "jump" in front of, they had to take Stewart before Bey.

Hey, I'm happy the Pistons had one of their tickets hit already. Bey is awesome and should play 20+ minutes, at the very least. But I dont believe the gaslighting that the Pistons were super high on him, knew he was great, etc, because its a bunch of "journalism", "good story" BS.

I'm under the impression Weaver had tunnel-vision on Stewart at #16. All Casey said was that they were surprised he was still there at #19, so they grabbed him. Basically the same thing SVG did with with Ellenson, but opposite results. They may have been surprised he was there at 16, too, but he wasn't their guy at 16. They got lucky.

Yeah why would they take the gamble of leaving him there for Dallas right in front of us if they wanted him that bad? They got lucky Mavs didnt take him honestly

Look I liked Kennard as much as the next guy, but he is a luxury item on a high end team, not a rebuilding piece, or starting SG. I believe Bey is a starter from what I've seen thus far.

Wierdly, I thought he would struggle getting his shot off in the NBA with such a low release but so far, he's a damn dead eye shooter. Unreal so far.

Bey does have a strange release its kind of similar to how Haliburton also has a strange lower release. Both of them are shooting well as rookies in the NBA. Bey does have a strange release its kind of similar to how Haliburton also has a strange lower release. Both of them are shooting well as rookies in the NBA. Whats more strange about it, is that as far as I know he hasn't been blocked, or had it swiped during release yet. Perhaps it's not as low as it seems on TV?

It really is unorthodox, but if he's going to shoot these percentages, he can shoot it however he wants.

Can't really predict Kennard's stats on this team because he's not. Can only analyse the data in front of us.
