Top 3 pick or bust this year for me personally.

No matter how bad we are we will never have better than a 40% chance at a top 3 pick.
I get it, but its all about the backend being no lower then 5 with the worst record.

The Pistons are DUE for a top pick.

I mean, I wish it worked that way.

Unfortunately the odds are the odds regardless of what we think we're due.

Hes right though, at least with the worst record we cant drop past 5 no matter how bad the odds screw us which I'm sure they will.

Well, he said in his original post that it was "top 3 pick or bust".

The odds of a top 3 pick are identical for the worst 3 teams.

It is true that the potential pitfall if you don't end up in the top 4 is better if you're the absolute worst, but I guess I deduced from his post that he doesn't think there's a big difference between 5-7. No idea if that's true, I really haven't researched the draft class.

I didnt see the other part, people say it's a 5 man draft between Kuminga, Green, Cade, Suggs and Mobley. But even if one of the Gleague guys in the top 5 dont look as promising once it gets going I guess the benefit of 5 vs 7 is you gotta better shot at whoever drops.

Still though sropping 4 spots would seem very unlucky but it can definitely happen

Top three or bust to me is i believe you can't go wrong with a top three in this draft. If the Pistons do end up outside of that, 4, or 5 is better then 7 or lower, yet again. Ill lose my damn mind.

Knicks, Bulls, Raptors and Grizzlies all won. Good for us.

We just need Wolves and Wizards to win some games now, and to lose against Rockets later this week.

Rockets are the clear worst team in the league now. Traded Harden Walls already gimped missed last 4 games with sore knee.

Minnesota/Washington/Sac currently are right there. I think as the seasons goes on the Cavs and Knicks fall back and compete with us.

I actually could see us not even finishing in the worst 5 with how good Grants has been.

Cavs in double OT v Brooklyn right now without Love & Garland playing

They're deep if those 2 play:

Dre - Allen
Love - Nance
Cedi - Prince
Sexton - Okoro
Garland

Gonna be a interesting season for them

Its really early in the season though. Still alot of smoke and mirrors in the standings.

For example we've played the 2nd hardest schedule so far. Are we as bad as our record indicates? We've played some really good teams tough.

Cavs OTOH are 27th in SOS.

Eh Love has been looking like a corpse much like how Blake has been lately, I wouldn't count on him being anywhere near a reliable depth guy anymore

If Love played, they probably would've lost by the first OT

SOS and all that doesn't bother me.

At this point everyone is adjusting to new team mates to some extent.

I think the Cavs will do ok, especially after getting Allen & Prince.

You gotta have guys who do the dirty work and don't need the ball to be happy.

Okoro, Nance, Prince & Allen will do their jobs. Seems Garland & Sexton are doing theirs. Cedi looking hot and cold and then Dre & Love do what they do.

It's a interesting roster. We'll see who sits where after 25 games

Wolves with a super clutch loss.

Minny was up 2 with 4.6 seconds to play and Vanderbilt on the free throw line, he proceeded to miss both free throws. Cole Anthony gets the rebound races upcourt and nailed a circus like 3 pointer for Orlando to win by 1.

Yeah I'm not worried about them at all, worst case if they miss the playoffs they will be in that late lottery area

We need to help some of these teams out.

Give them Plumlee for a 2nd
Give them Blake for a 2nd
Give them McGruder, Wright, Ellington. Gets 2nd back

Give them Rose - late 1st??

Let’s purge these vets onto some of these bottom-dwellers and help them win a couple more games than they should

Yeah thats true. When I made that post I was under the impression their was no way we blow that Hawks game. Still we found a way luckily haha.

I still think Rockets are worse then us but we should be right in the thick of it!
