The wolves are just dumb. They keep trading away their picks. If they kept the guys they picked, they’d be pretty good right now.

The fact the Wolves had KAT, Wiggins and Jimmy Butler AND made the playoffs only for it to fall apart quickly says a bit about their organisation as a whole IMO.

Wiggins appears to be all "fixed" in GS, Butler kills it for Miami when he plays but Minnesota? Still the same old story there.

Is it KAT? Or a much deeper problem?

Timberwolves had prime KG and couldn't field a roster that could take them to the playoff promised land. You want to talk cursed, and bad ownership, that organization is a prime example. Case studies were likely made in Universities

These 2 games against the Sixers and Cavs are potential wins, however the upcoming schedule is the toughest of the year.

New comp for the bottom. SVG led Pels only 1 game ahead of us. SVG has taken a roster with talent like the Pels and made them as bad as us.

SVG's Pelicans losing with sloppy play, bad defense and a lack of adjustments. That makes watching the Pistons losses sound almost fun. I wonder how long the honeymoon will last in New Orleans.

Yeah BI is a stud, Zion ain't too bad either but

Adams clogs the paint and that's not good for their top 2 guys.

Ball & Bledsoe can't shoot 3s at volume & a quality clip to provide much spacing and neither of them can play at the SF position either so the team can't really run a small line up of Zion, BI, ?, Redick, Ball/Bledsoe

Even JJ Redick has been in a shooting funk (it seems).

To me it shows how valuable a guy like Jrue really is, especially on D.

Can blame SVG & the FO but I think this coming off-season will be interesting for them since Ball is unlikely to be retained.

They also made Adams the highest paid center with that extension. A huge mistake and of course any team led by Bledsoe will be bad, he's just not a reliable player at all

I don't think the Pels are going to make a lot of noise or anything, but I also don't think they will be a bottom barrel team either.

New Orleans is yet another of those teams with a new coach, and teams with new coaches are under a pretty big handicap with the current situation of extremely short offseason, very watered down preseason, and the accelerated restart. After 25 games or so, the teams with new coaches that actually have some talent will start to come into their own, IMO. I think they end up about 10th in the west

Wizards are now below us... With not an easy schedule coming.

Wolves just 1 lose less than us.

We have to stay in the worst 2 so 1 of those teams has to win a couple of games.

The upcoming Pistons schedule is an absolute gauntlet. Unless Covid/lots of load management situations arise, I'm not seeing more than 2 wins in the next 10 so they should gain a little separation.

The Wizards and Wolves are so bad though. Putting records aside, I think the Pistons have been a better team than them this season so they are strong competitors for the bottom.
Looking at the standings and I just don't see any team that's nearly as bad as these three. The Knicks, Cavs, Thunder and Bulls all seemed like strong contenders at the beginning of the season but they've gained a lot of separation. The other teams that started off poorly have rosters that are too good to finish near the bottom (Pelicans, Kings, Hornets, Heat, Raptors).

I wonder how much of a difference there is between BI and Grant?

BI has a much better 1 on 1 game, he can create out of nothing like Durant shooting over the top. Grant's defense is likely better, Ive only seen BI in two games this season so far. He is long but not aggressive on defense.

BI has a lot more potential though, as he gets stronger over the year.

The Wizards are beginning to look like the team most likely to be at the bottom. We can't match their dysfunction.
